I too have stopped for now selling anything. I was not getting enought profit for all the work involved. I have decided for now to just take a couple of months off and re-evaluate in the spring. I still have a local booth that is doing quite well. I will keep a watch on this and of course, still buy on Ebay . See you in the spring

Best wishes to you. Glad to hear you have a booth that is doing well. I've always wanted to pursue that, but alas never have.

How hard is it to take a few pics and write a description?

Maybe it's the packing and shipping.

Hi, just a head’s up, that when you return, you might be treated like a new seller with limits snd possible holds on payments. We have seen here in the forums, when some sellers take a hiatus and upon return, discover the limits. Surprise, surprise. I do not know what criteria eBay uses when making such decisions, but you might consider keeping a few items up, if that is feasible. Or, you could use Time Away and reset each month, opting to hide your listings.
Well, best of luck to you and wish you well whatever you decide.

It was very nice how you explained the ramifications of stopping selling for a few months.

Life is much more important than eBay, especially if it isn't panning out for you. Some may criticize with their replies. You do what is best for you. I wish you luck.

Thank you for posting this. I was excited when I first started here but it seems like eBay is more interested in extracting every possible penny of profit with their algorithms and they don't care much about individual sellers. As a discussion on another post points out eBay seems to be in decline and new sellers have missed the "glory days". Are you going to start selling on other platforms? Let us know how things work out.

When you have few items sell isn't that hard to take photos described and sell .
But when you have over 500 items , it gets difficult.
