selling an item that has been offered

Good Morning: This is a problem that we have been experiencing.

1. We make many offers to customers who show interest in an item.

2. Our customer makes an offer which we accept.

3. If the item requires "shipping costs" the acceptance is placed into "pending".

4. Once the item is put into "pending" we no longer can proceed with sending an invoice to the customer.

5. The customer "at his end" can not obtain the invoice. He contacts us to ask for help.

6. We have figured out that if we tell the customer to go to the original item and make another offer we can then accept and send an invoice.

PROBLEM

1. We should not have to do this and often the customer decides they don;t want to go through the extra steps and the sale is lost.

2. We have spoken with ebay a number of times and are told there is no problem and that we haven't lost any sales.....how could ebay say that....makes no sense.

3. This is a problem and we need Ebays help!!!!!!

I have not had this issue, but I'm willing to at least try to help.

4.  You shouldn't need to send an invoice.  The buyer gets an email telling them that you accepted their offer.  When they click to pay, you shipping charges will show up too for the buyer to pay.

5.  IDK why the buyer is requiring you to send an invoice..

6.  Would that not mean you now have two separate offers from the buyer that you have accepted.

Am I correct @j-sag that this problem is exclusive to your listings with a non-specified cost for Freight shipping?

Let's start here:

https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements

On that page, do you have the box checked or unchecked next to "Require all buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer"
