Did you mean:

selling 2 different sizes with 1 description (major differences in specs, not just size)

Package Included:

1* cob light

1* USB cable

The title is: Emergency 1000Lumen Rechargeable COB LED Slim Magnet Work Light Lamp Flashlight

The product detail says:

Batteries: 1 Lithium ion batteries required. (included)

The light comes in 2 sizes, large and small but there is only 1 description.

I ordered the small one.

The thing I received 3 AAA batteries (not included).

There is no USB cable and no USB port on the light to charge it.

My theory is that the large one is rechargeable but the small one is not.

The seller doesn't seem to know the item and there is a translation problem.

I assumed the small one was not as powerful.

What do you tihink?

The seller sells a lot of stuff and has a 98.5% positive rating.

It should be 99% in my opinion.

Does ebay have English<->Chinese support people?

It seems to me after looking at the actual listing I found (211713 feedback seller), it's a bait and switch. I don't believe it's a translation problem.

The choice Large and Small indicates two different sizes and prices only, not two different products. The listing doesn't mention anywhere that the "small" is a completely different product. I would expect the small to be the same product, just smaller.

Looking at some of their other listings, they do this a lot, and other tricks.

Maybe a case for not as described if you don't want it.

Do you really beleive that 98.5% positive is good feedback?  Just read the negative feedback and you will see others have had the same problems. l wouldn't buy from a seller like that. You can file a SNAD claim.

You bought a Thing.

It was Not As Described.

EBay has a Money Back Guarantee.

Go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page. Open a Not As Described Dispute.

The suggestion to Contact the Seller is not a command.

The seller doesn't seem to know the item and there is a translation problem.

And anyway you seem to have already tried that.

Ask eBay to step in (still in the Dispute) and escalate to a Claim.

The seller will be required to send return postage.

If he does not, you win the Claim and get a refund.

If he does, you ship, and when it shows as Delivered, you get a refund.

This does not require any translators, or actually any human intervention.

You have 30 days from delivery to open a Dispute.

If that deadline has passed you have 180 days from payment to open a Dispute with Paypal.

KISS.

I was in a hurry and didn't read the feedback.

You said it well.

The seller offered me 30% and I don't have to ship the item back.

I am confident the item was not as described so they can refund me 100% and pay for return shipping (which won't be worth it to them).

What is the time limit for the sender to do this?

@femmefan1946

The seller will be required to send return postage.

If he does not, you win the Claim and get a refund.

If he does, you ship, and when it shows as Delivered, you get a refund.

How does that work for international shipments?

The postage to mail it is likely higher than the cost of the item.

It takes over 30 days to mail between countries, are there any time limits once a claim is open with ebay?

I was offered a 30% refund which I declined.

I was then offered a 50% refund which I declined.

I was told I could get a full refund but I'd have to ship the light back and it is expensive to ship.

I think I was supposed to assume I have to pay for shipping.

I replied saying I expect a full refund and since the item was not as described, they would pay for shipping and I was confident ebay would agree with me.

The full refund was deposited to my paypal and I didn't receive email from them.
