sale

My sales have decreased a lot. I don't understand why? I am very in touch with buyers, I have not increased the price. I have very good packaging and shipping. Other people's similar items are selling and even more expensive, but mine is not selling, what can I do?

Re: sale

We currently have several other threads going on this subject.  You might want to pop into one or more of them to see if something helps you.

Keep in mind that there are many people struggling to pay the high prices of food and housing.  Coming up on the summertime when the kids are home and it is more expensive to feed and entertain them.

A couple things I would suggest.  Don't make all the words in your Titles start with a Lower case.  It won't change the searchability of it, but it would look better.  Also Titles are the most important piece of real estate on Ebay.  Use that 80 character field.  Fill it with words that a buyer might search by.  Think like a buyer.

Now here is something really important.  If the item DOES NOT WORK, that really needs to be in your title, without exception.  Your descriptions are good, but you really need that stated clearly and obviously in your title.

I would even suggest creating an ISB [item specific box] specifically for this as well.  State clearly the item doesn't work.

Do NOT be shy about stating and over stating the item doesn't work.  While this may not have affected you yet, at some point you will get a buyer that gets upset with you because they didn't know the item didn't work.

Variety in what you are selling can also help you get more sales.  Clean out those closest and find stuff you no longer want to keep and are willing to ship.

I wish you the very best.

Re: sale

Thank you very much for the advice. I will definitely take it into account. I wrote in the description that it doesn't work, but I will definitely write it in the title as well

I know you did, I noted that.  But please know it is not enough.  That needs to be splattered everywhere.  I'm telling you at some point it will be a problem for you if you just leave it in normal font in your description only.

Re: sale

You're right, I'm not an English speaker, I'm using google translate, so I made this mistake. I agree, correctly written is more attractive

@ronibeal77

Do a little research. Do an eBay search for each of your items and see where it is in the search results. Are there a lot of sponsored ads before your listing? When you click on some of the items (not yours), are your items shown in the eBay sponsored items found below the listing?

1) Determine if your competition is selling the same and "even more expensive" items using promoted listings by doing a little research as described above.

2) Decide if you want/need to use promoted listings to compete. Promoted listings won't fix your sales. It can give your sales a boost.

3) If you decide to promote, start with a low percentage and increase as necessary until your items appear near the top and also in the similar sponsored items when items are clicked.

Of course, the basics of a good title, description and pictures are the most important part of your listings. I don't think eBay starting promoted listings was a good thing. I do think they are here to stay, and they can help boost sales if used correctly.

Are the other people's similar items that are selling and even more expensive also listed as not working?

Re: sale

Every seller who has ever complained about slow sales THINKS their items should be selling.

One seller a few months back said his "hot moving" items are not selling.
