When it was announced that our discount would drop to 10% I made changes to my business plan. I went to 2 day fulfillment and switched to taking the mail to the large city P.O. and leaving it in the place for packages with postage (got an eyeful of other people's ebay businesses).  Tracking mostly shows they scan the next day hence the need for 2 day fulfillment. 

Well they seem to be too big and I've had problems with them scanning. I've gotten fed up and have decided to revert back to my old business plan which is 1 day fulfillment and having the mail scanned at the small P.O. in town (usually few people in line).  I always ship in 1 day anyway.

What are the problems with them scanning? If it is simply a timing issue, you could just set your handling to 3 days instead of 2. Or you could use a SCAN form. 

Another option would be to leave it at 2 or 3 days, and only visit your local PO every other day.

I like the idea of the SCAN form but I looked into it for Endicia and it seems you need to upgrade to a more expensive plan with them and I'm not motivated to spend the money for that. 

I suppose it just annoys me that they take that long to scan the stuff. Right now I"m dealing with a scary situation over the scanning (was a large load of mail just lost?) and I look back favorably to the smaller P.O. which is somewhat farther away but handles the packages better.
