i opened my account in 2005. I been off and on over the years. My roof is in need of repair so I sold a gold bracelet for $1300 back in June. My account was flagged and I tried to call. Nightmare began. I sent them all the receipts of the items that were listed and taken down by ebay.  That wasnt good enough so my account is permanently restricted from selling and I am totally fine with that. The bracelet was received by the customer who was very happy with it.

my bank account was closed as i thought was hacked. i am still not able to enter my account info to get paid. I am told something different. are they keeping my money? i can document i did nothing illegal. i even paid saled tax in the items I posted.

Until your June sale, you havent sold anything for more than a year, you will be treated as a new seller, and your funds will be held. What were you told about entering your acct information? And buyers pay sales tax on Ebay, not sellers.

Another example of why eBay needs to vet the new (or occasional) sellers BEFORE they are allowed to sell these high-end items. It's not right that they wait until AFTER a sale has been made, the item shipped and then worry whether the seller can prove it's not stolen and keep his money. We hear this every day on these boards and it simply isn't right.

@littldarlins

Take a deep breath here, OK please answer some questions.

    Why did you close your bank account when you had this outstanding bracelet transaction?

    What items were removed from ebay and roughly the prices?

     As poster @bonjourami stated you are treated as a new seller. You have limits in play.

I can see your buyer was thrilled with the bracelet, but that sale doesn't seem to be the problem. It's what you tried to list afterwards.

Hmm Account may have been hacked? Why did you think that?

What was removed by eBay?

As for money it will eventually be turned over to the unclaimed payments system in your state.

Actually it is unfortunately.  Because of the govt cracking down on amazon, Walmart, eBay, and Etsy for scams, counterfeits, and stolen goods being sold, this is the way it is.  Blame all the people over the years abusing the services of online selling.  Unless you are a consistent business that has a reputation, the govt is really trying to crack down hobby sellers to prefer actual businesses that can be trusted.  It still happened everyday.  There are many threads on ps5 scams at the moment.  And many new users creating accounts trying to double offers and asking them to text to a number and buy gift cards to pay for purchases and what not.  It’s unfortunate this is the world we created.  Ever get a phone call that the first thing you hear is a sound that sounds like a water drop first?  Ya they just want you to say the yes, because they record your yes and then use that recorder yes from your voice to agree to things you don’t want to agree too.  The list goes on and on.  Welcome to reality!
