Re: reports to take to the accountant

EBAY has a new 1-page (easy to read) report.   Go to PAYMENTS, REPORTS (on left side click on REPORTS (NEW) enter time period 1/1/2022  12/31/2022.     This report shows (orders/gross sales, refunds, EBAY fees, shipping expense).

You also need to show them expenses that you keep track of (cost of goods, mileage, packing materials, office supplies).   Any expenses related to your business are deductible.

You must provide beginning and ending inventory "cost of goods that you purchased"

$5,000 of inventory on hand 1/1/2022

$2,000 inventory sold

$3,000 for inventory on hand 12/31/2022.

You need to create spreadsheet for of all the inventory you purchased showing (inventory#, date of purchase, cost of goods, description, date sold, subtract of goods).   You keep same spreadsheet (year after year) and just keep adding and subtracting inventory).
