Just a quick process question: I have a listing (literally, just one right now) that is an auction with no bids, but one watcher. The listing also has the "buy it now" option. I was hoping to try the "send an offer" feature, but it isn't available. Is this not an option with auction listings? I'm still trying to figure out the most effective way to sell in my primary category (sports cards)--it's been kind of hit and miss so far. Thanks for any input.

Good for you. Sometimes buyers will just buy your item, not wanting to wait until an auction ends.

thanks!!! yeah, i've noticed that--have only sold a few things so far, but i have yet to have an auction actually get bids--they've all sold at buy-it-now price. have not had much luck with good-til-cancelled listings, though. Again, thanks for the reply!!!

sometimes when searching for items, I might 'watch' several of the same item. Then go back and review each--which is the best deal--which one looks best--fastest shipping etc.
You can update your listing and change it to 'buy-it-now', but you can't go back after doing that. I greatly don't like the new buy it now that is 'good until sold or canceld'
If you cancel it, for whatever reason--then you get a 'default' from ebay. Pretty unfair since they are the ones that force you into those terms.

It’s a moot point. A mute point would be a point that was unable to talk.

That's scary--and confusing. I thought we were supposed to cancel "good til canceled" listings if we don't want them to roll over.

You could have hit "Reply with Offer" if the buyer had contacted you @jack_bucks_ghost, but that's only if the wind blows, a vane hope.
