no matter which link I take to make a "one time payment", it takes me to the screen where it wants to pay the complete added up total??....you cannot remove or change the numbers at all...it just wants to charge a complete total for invoice due, PLUS newly accrued selling fees???...I like paying my fees weekly with partial payments, like I have been for the last 10 years, so as not to have a HUGE bill at the beginning of each month...I heard about the bug, but its STILL BROKE...Anyone else having this problem? Thanks

@humminbird-heaven It could be your browser but try holding down your mouse and dragging it over the amount, then make the change. I also fell victim to this botched "enhancement" and paid way more than I wanted to pay at the moment expecting that I was going to get another screen where I could modify the amount.
A bigger problem though, so be warned - When selecting to use Paypal, it used to stop to let you select your payment method. But, poof, it was off to Paypal and without any warning it used my default payment method, which in my case was my bank account. So, not only did I end up paying more than expected because it took my current month's fees with it, it took it all from my bank account which was NOT what I expected or wanted. And, the way it's set up now, if you want to use a credit card to pay those one-time fees, you have to put your credit card info on eBay's screen instead of using Paypal where you already have that credit card stored.

eBay staff has ask developers to have this made clearer to sellers. They understand it looks like there are no options.
Yes, eBay developers are the only ones in the world who don't know the unwritten standard for a modifiable field is a box, not a blue underline!

Most changes today are to satisfy the overwhelming amount of users who do things from mobile devices. It the directions are working for you, then that is what should be important and the fact that eBay staff recognizes the issues and are working on your behalf.

ROTFL.
Anytime you make a one-time payment, you are paying your fees before you have to.
That is the very definition of "letting eBay use your money".

Just venting. They really messed me up this month by not only taking more than I expected, but taking it from my Paypal default method (checking account) instead of letting me choose a credit card that I preferred to use this month.
I will try not to be so negative!

There are real reason eBay businesses might pay early. You should assume every one operates like you do.

I understand. The only suggestion I can give you on your issue with using your preferred card is that you might need to review what you have set up at paypal as your default payment for specifically when you pay your eBay fees.

Sometimes you want to make a one-time payment after you receive your invoice but before it hits your automatic payment method stored in eBay, because you want to use a different payment method that month for part or all of it. Instead of changing your automatic payment method then having to change it back again after it goes through, it used to be easy to make that one-time payment, select the amount, and select a different method through Paypal. Mostly sellers were trying to pay only their June fees that way but the total was including July fees that weren't even due yet.

Yes, I will definitely do it differently next time because I can't trust it wouldn't happen again. It used to be so simple before they made the change but everything went through unexpectedly without giving any opportunities to change it or warnings for how it would be different . Thanks!

I was not assuming everyone operates like I do. In fact, I was responding to a specific point the poster made about how he wanted to operate.
The poster seemed irked that eBay was using his money, and I simply pointed out that what he was trying to do was also letting eBay use his money.
I can only comment based on the information that is given.

why comment at all unless you have something productive to say about the problem, not my rant? I like to pay to get it out out the way...I also buy quite a bit on ebay and would like to know how much I can spend during the month...we all do things differently...and it is PP that has my $$$, not ebay...I can highlight numbers but wont change...I was having this problem the last 2 months also...I found a way around them then, because there are about 3 or 4 different direct links to the "one time payment" on different screens None of them work now....when these invoices start hitting sellers all at once, they better be ready

You can purchase eBay shipping labels or make other purchases using your PP balance? It's not the 3/29/19 PP change preventing use of your PP balance? (just to make sure that months old issue isn't it - which I doubt since a seelr would have noticed that issue by now 🙂
What are your PayPal settings for automatic payments and online purchases here?
https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/settings/payments
all set to use PayPal balance?
(unknown what option eBay is using now that funding source option no longer appears during OTP flow, but my PayPal balance is set as default for everything and I have no problem making a OTP and it comes out of my PP balance. Just did one a few hours ago)
