"Your shipment is being returned due to issues encountered."

It's my own fault - I broke my rule and used the ebay 'stand alone' international shipping and now 'this' is what's on the top of the tracking info.

 

We have no idea what the issues could be - as in we did something - or if I'm getting back a crushed box.

 

Any ideas or actual knowledge

It's being returned to you from the US hub?

 

Could be an issue with buyer's address.

Could be an item restricted for shipping to the buyer's country.

Could be oversized or exceeding some other limitation.

 

Arriving at the hub damaged is not likely because typically they'd provide photos so you could file an insurance claim.

 

I guess you'll find out when you get the package back. If you want to share what the item is that might provide some clues.

"Could be an issue with buyer's address." - lot's of fb going both ways late six months so doubt that's it.

 

"Could be an item restricted for shipping to the buyer's country." - camping stove going to Norway.

 

"Could be oversized or exceeding some other limitation." - standard small under two pound box, maybe 5x7x9 at most.

 

"Arriving at the hub damaged is not likely because typically they'd provide photos so you could file an insurance claim." As noted above, we found out about this, no 'one' notified up to be able to send photos.

 

And it's a coleman camping stove - it a piece of metal with nothing breakable in a solid tight fitting box, over-taped. That how we 'roll'

If that gas stove ever had gas in it, it is not going to be shipped by air. 

Possibly, when they opened the box, there was a smell of that gas. 

You will be able to list it again. Just make sure your shipping is by ground and there is no international shipping offered.

Good answer but it was unused. And maybe we 'just got away with it' but have shipped ten? used ones to same country over the past few years - we're now in new mexico, we get camping stores walking in the door 'every day'

 

And the money part isn't important, it's just money, the boss just want to know what's 'really was/is the problem already' and DID we mess up. And if we did, nobody loosing their job, boss just want to know who we're gonna start making fun of - you know 'Wendy made a boo-boo' stuff - everybody knows/worked with everybody for years - two moved with the store from Ca in 06 - I started in brooklyn in 73 - no one in trouble.

You got the boss thinking so we opened the listing and 'looked' and you're right - listed as used - so 'we' did make a mistake, really two  - first and biggest one was taking the consignment person - a friend - at his word because the boss took one look at the burner photo and said 'that's burned crap' and cursed mikey

 

 

let me point out the the photos, witting and packing is done by three different people, so the writer had to 'look' at the photos when uploading to 'see' the burner one.

 

 

So consignment and Yvette [listing writer] was gonna take mikey word and list as new, then desired it should be 'new other' and then ....

 

 

She wrote it early jan. so doesn't really remember, and there was someone else to deal with the store at the time, so no stopping and starting distractions.

 

It started as a sell similar and as best we can figure -  either she just 'blanked' and left it at used - but she thinks it's more likely, because she's notice that she 'did that' before - she thinks she changed the condition popup to new other and then 'X' it instead of 'done'ing it.

Got official notice - it's Restricted/Prohibited for one of the following ... 183 reasons? - basically it's in one piece and coming back, and most likely it 'had a smell' and mostly likely not used - we will see when it gets here - also no charge for the unused to norway postage - and again the 30 buck shipping refund is just a cost of ... and we can still pay our bills. - just a thought - if we wash it 60 times and then seal in vacuum bags - maybe 40 one after the other, you think it would 'pass'? - joking.

 

It's going on the back shell of the store, next to the two that wasn't worth listing, and it will sell.

 

So in conclusion, it's not the job of the person who took photos to 'know' it's going up as new, Yvette then just gets them started uploading and then starts writing, packer is just putting a box into another one ... and the three big ones - WE TOOK HIS WORD - no one open the tank, and the boss never had it in his hand to check.

 

finally words - we messed up and thank everybody who took the time to help us - If you make it to the real store you'll get the discount.

I have the same message from tracking now. The item I sent is perfume. Destination is Chile. This is my first time to get this kind of message. I don’t know what I need to do now.

You wait to receive it back and then issue a refund. I would contact the customer too and let them know why it is being refunded.

Perfumes must be sent ground which is probably why it’s being returned to you.

The original message here is over 9 months old.  Let's hope the OP had his problem resolved by now.
