Is this for real??
I can understand they are trying to cut down on spam, but really??
I sent out maybe half a dozen messages to different people who write in the feedback of a few recent buyers who tried to scam me to let them know about a thread here on the forums that I thought may benefit them (some of these sellers were victims of the mobile app telling them 'ok to ship' while payment still pending), and I get this message!
Guess it's true that no good deed goes unpunished. *sigh*

Just happened to us and we were trying to buy a part for a piece of equipment we use to make our product we sell on eBay. Double edge sword here. Unfortunately fleebay lost this sale because we didn’t have 24hrs to wait and went to AliExpress where we found the product for $30 less. Mind you this was just arranging to package 4 components together because that’s how they are often sold. eBay blocked while we were working out the details to make Ebay money. There loss and if it happens again we will go to AliExpress again. We spend lots of $$$ every year on eBay and it would be a travesty if they chase buyers away over a silly rule. EBay can not differentiate between making a deal or general conversation from reading your post this makes sense it’s just a rule and certain items we will never be able to purchased because of it. Again it’s their loss and I should mention Amazon as another great source to purchase. Really we don’t need Ebay for the buying experience.

So far, the 'bots that handle such situations merely count and tally up with little comprehension of content and differentiation as to intent or purpose. But, you get so many more, for one price, than human employees.

I buy cups for my collection. I collect pretty coffee cups. (yeah, I'm a grandma...sigh...) and small sellers are the worst for putting NO information in their listings. But its not just new sellers, its big sellers too.
How do I know if the cup is 4" tall or 2" tall? I bought one cup just sure I knew the size, it came in... was 11" tall. Really. What? A new vase I guess, my fault for not asking.
No one seems to measure anything! How hard is it to stick a tape measure / ruler against the cup and then take the Pic?? I'm shopping for my collections, I can send 20 messages in a day, easily!

11 inch cup, huh. For a SERIOUS coffee drinker!
Still getting mileage out of a 1 1/2 year old thread. Some things never change, I guess.
