Just an observation. As I write this there are 16 postings on page one, 8 of which are Zombie threads with 2 of them going back to 2021. Are we really running out of problems to solve? That would sound like a good thing. Eh?

Ha, JINX!! I was writing a thread like this just now. I thought I was the only one in the Twilight Zone.
I think something glitchy must have happened that put old threads at the top and all the new comments on them were just people not realizing they were old. It would be truly freakish if so many people dug through old threads and commented on them, all within a couple hours of each other.

Some days there are more zombie threads than current ones. A lot of times its advertising spammers adding their links to an old thread. If you don't report them as old threads, they won't be locked until you bring it to the attention of the moderators.

It doesn't help when the mods closing comment bumps the thread.

Just a thought, I haven’t actually tested it out, but could be threads be bumped by people who find the threads via Google versus arriving on the board and latching on to any current thread that fits their issue or starting a new one?
