"Promotional" program

In 2022 I decided to try promotional program. Foolish of me!  I am even taxed on ebays promotional fees.

Orders did go up and I continued to lose money.  New changes that go in effect at end of March  are harsh.

I have had to research many things lately.  I began to see ebays  promotional pattern. Depending on how much % you do, depends on how many times your item will appear.  Look at Pearls.  The same items come up every 4-6 times for every 2-5 listings, It is identical to double listings, but you can multiply by 15, chose any number.  Its the same item again and again...... These same items, same pictures come up constantly. So many times, its annoying frustrating, and shows how few different items (pearls) are actually listed. Its ridiculous!! And a complete waste of money.

When  I google, I am most  frequently directed to my own items. Some have been sold and some with inaccurate descriptions, that  I am trying to update. Now I see so many of my items everywhere, information sold to all companies. Honestly some of these descriptions are not accurate, but are used as accurate descriptions for the world to see.

Its easy to see the cost of selling on ebay is unreasonable, and with cumbersome descriptions, and 47 questions about a stone that does not exist. It wastes my time.

Ebay has put me in a position where I must increase prices, and the inability to give better deals.  Sales are down dramatically.

Should the $600 threshold tax go in effect 2023, it will put me out of business. No other choice.

"Promotional" program

Honestly, most of your post makes no sense to me:

I am even taxed on ebays promotional fees.   what kind of tax are you talking about?  No Sales on promotional fees.......no final value fees.........(which are deductible for income tax)

Now I see so many of my items everywhere, information sold to all companies.   ?  Sold......some are shown in affiliate programs......but sold?

Honestly some of these descriptions are not accurate, but are used as accurate descriptions for the world to see.  if I understand correctly that these are YOUR descriptions, but are inaccurate........are the inaccuracies ebay's fault or yours?

Its easy to see the cost of selling on ebay is unreasonable  ..........certainly a seller has to choose the items he lists so that the selling price covers the costs of selling......but that's true of selling anywhere......  One doesn't rent a store in downtown Manhattan and sell only 10c lemonade and expect to make money.
