Other sellers have shared these buyer stories. 99.99% sure it's buyer remorse, 0.01% it's complete buyer ineptitude.

 

Basically got 3 back to back to back messages .... "I DIDNT BUY THIS" ... then "I'M CONTACTING EBAY DON'T SHIP IT" ... then "I PUT IT IN MY CART BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW IT GOT PURCHASED OTHER THAN I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE!! ... CAN YOU HOLD ONTO IT UNTIL I CAN BUY IT??"

 

Ok so you bought it but can't afford it ... YET.

 

When I hear this I immediately think of a cheater caught cheating and coming up with insane excuses ... "I don't know how I ended up in bed with them" or "I don't know why that baby doesn't look like you".

I always like "My 5 year old bought it." I really believe there are online "thrill seekers" who get a kick out of almost buying something and backing out at the last minute. And I think some don't know how the platforms checkout process is so occasionally they buy stuff and are like oops, now what do I do? And they come up with excuses. I do know a few years ago if you had the app open to a listing and you put the phone in your pocket, even though the screen was black the touch feature still worked. Almost bought a pair of shoes BIN that way.
