"Couldn't Add to Cart"...

I had 4 repeat buyers yesterday who purchase more than one item.

Actually, I only had 'repeat buyers' yesterday...Where are the 'new buyers'?

These 'repeat buyers' had to purchase EACH item separately and pay that .30-40 cent fee for each item instead of one eBay fee for multiple items.

Nothing has changed in my shipping...heck...It's free domestic shipping.

Now I know a lot of sellers here probably don't sell multiple items in a sale to a buyer so the seller won't notice that...but I sure did!

Heck...one 'repeat buyer' asked about combined shipping....but it's free and this buyer bought from me before.

And only the old listings are selling...no new listings are selling.

And I 'up' my promoted rate on the new listings.

I tried to 'add to cart' one of my items and it stated 'couldn't add to cart'.

What's going on?

"Couldn't Add to Cart"...

@12345jamesstamps

FWIW I added three things of yours to a cart.  One had $6 shipping and two were free shipping.  I use a computer and the "request total" was present.  I did not proceed further as I really didn't want the products, and didn't want to cause any drama if the "request total" actually worked.

In the past, so long as ONE item in the cart had free shipping the "request total" in the cart would throw an error message.

At least you know that items of yours CAN be added to the cart and there is a button to "check out"  and pay for them all at once which I did not use either.

Hope you figure it out.

You can't add your own items to your shopping cart so that's probably the reason for the error message you saw.

I sometimes get buyers that will buy several different items all paid for individually. Don't know why they do that. Using buy it now instead of add to cart means they are missing out on the multi-item order discounts I offer. I guess not having to give them that extra discount means the additional 40 c fee on each item is negligible for me. Most of my buyers are smart enough to add to cart.

I figure I probably couldn't add my own item in my own shopping cart...LOL...but thought I would try.

Having 4 repeat buyers and no new buyers yesterday all paying for each item separately who know they can combine items and pay one price is so weird. And a repeat buyer asking about combine shipping for items that are with free shipping is so strange.

I would never tell a buyer how to pay...so it's like a draw with a buyer. I might turn off a buyer from making purchases with me in the future. I don't get it.
