Hello. Being a new seller on eBay, I have come across the problem of the "automatic payment method" pop-up. Every time I attempt to create a new listing or try to revise an active listing, a pop-up that asks for me to set up an automatic payment method block me from finishing my task. I might be just stupid, and there might be a skip button, but so far I haven't found any. The truth is, I would set up an automatic payment method, but I currently don't have a card to enter. For the past 4 months of selling, I've been basing my sales of "Paypal Cash", something eBay's automatic payment method system does not accept.
Please respond!

You can pay your Ebay fees with Paypal, I do it all the time. I also have Paypal as my automatic payment method although it's never used as I pay fees weekly.
What happens when you click through where it says continue to Paypal?
We seem to be getting closer and closer to a situation where nobody is responsible for what they did but we are all responsible for what somebody else did. - Thomas Sowell

Sorry for the late reply. As said before, I currently don't own a credit card or debit card, and so when I do click the Paypal option, it prompts me to enter one of the two. There are no options to skips or use Paypal cash.

(I don't think a PayPal balance can work since pretty sure it can't be "overdrawn" and made negative by a pre-approved payment like an eBay reimbursement demand. ie: you make your PayPal balance $1, and any eBay requests would then just "bounce" for insufficient funds.)
Likely you are not going to be able to proceed without complying and providing a credit card or bank account. Buy a $10 VISA gift card to use as your credit card.

Go over to Paypal and sign up for a Paypal debit card. It can be used anywhere debit cards are accepted. Signing up is painless and the card arrives within a week or so. My only regret is not getting one sooner.

What if the OP, or someone else who applies for the PayPal debit card, has bad credit? Or no credit?

There's no credit check since it's not a credit card. More info here for those interested:
