I have a question regarding a buyer who opened an item not received claim against me. The order was placed Feb 17, shipped Feb 17 and they opened the case April 13. The estimated delivery date was Feb 22. I was under the impression they were past the limit to open a case against me; past the money back guarantee window but they still were able to? Ebay put the funds on hold until the case is resolved. The item said “out for delivery” but they claimed they didn’t get it. I do find it odd they would try to claim this nearly 2 months later. I think it was most likely delivered and they just saw an opportunity with a lazy mailman unfortunately.

You are referring to the 30 day MBG of eBay?
That has nothing to do with INR Case

so how long does someone have to open an INR case?

As long as they do not receive their item

So someone can claim it 1-2 years after and things like that? That's possible?

In order for ebay to get involved in a mbg case which DOES include an item not received claim, the buyer has to open the claim within 30 day after the last estimated delivery date. They do still allow a buyer to open a claim after that but generally won't step in to make a decision. When the claim was opened what sort of instructions did eBay give...did they say you must enter a tracking number showing delivery or refund or was the message different than usual?

No you are blowing it out of proportion
Can you provide tracking and delivery notice?
if so then case closed
If not then the buyer has a valid claim
Did you provide tracking info when eBay asked for it?

Inr's like snad's are covered by the mbg.

gave options to enter in tracking info, send message, refund. Looked like the normal case options to me.

If you continue to sell on this platform or any other I highly advise you to read the rules governing transactions
It is obvious that you did not read eBay rules before you sold anything on this platform
I advise so as I hope to see you succeed and the only way to do that is understand the platform rules

I'm just asking for an answer to a question and you're giving me a sermon. Please stop. At least the other person actually answered my question.

Sorry, I don't know what to suggest. From what I've read, when a buyer opens a not as described return request outside of the mbg timeline, one of the options is for the seller to close the claim which normally isn't available. Hopefully someone else has more info.

No sermon but you keep asking as if you do not believe the answers
I answered your question in the first response it is you that did not want to believe the answer
Good luck to you and bless you and all the hope in the future

I asked how long does someone have to open an INR case. There was no positive answer. I would like to know a definite timeline for this because I have had this happen before where things were "out for delivery" and tracking never updated at all. The carrier most likely delivered it but did not scan it. Most people are honest about it and did not open claims, but there's been times when they weren't. Obviously you can't 100% prove this but it's better to be prepared and know how long an INR case can apply. I had another instance where this happened in November and I'm cringing to see another one open up now.

No you wanted an answer to abide by what you wanted to hear and I guess my truthful answer upset you and I'm sorry
I don't make the rules here
