Is there a way I can download on all my items a discloser clause. I have 750 items and because I by them from auctions and dont know the enviroment in which they came from. I feel I need to add that fact.

@tesa6240  I've made changes 2 weeks ago this way:

Listings

Active

Select All (little box gets check mark)

edit Fields

Select All (box gets checked)

Select Item Description from the drop down menu

Select Add to Item Description (drop down menu at the top)

Type your changes

Save & Close

Submit Changes (might be more than 1 time for this - I can't remember)

A page will come up that shows that these changes cost you $0.00. We have a store, so I'm not sure if it's the same for all sellers. Either way, it would show you if it will cost you anything and you can choose to continue or cancel.

you can do a "find and replace" so if you have a specific text string in each listing you could replace it with a different text string.

You'll need to go into bulk listing and add it to each of your listings - anything isn't eBay-defined (item specific and shipping, for instance), can't be bulk edited - that includes the condition area and description where one would add a disclaimer/disclosure.

I have a standard TOS that goes into my listings and has, with minor changes, since 2004.  It's in a text file and when I list I just ^C^V it into the Description... that no one bidding from a phone reads anyway.    It doesn't help on existing listings, but for future ones if you have a Standard disclosure to cut/paste it makes life easier.

Just checked your TOS - number one, second part caused me to splatter coffee all over my screen, so thank you 😂

I splattered coffee all over my screen when I read this one:

Star ratings: this only applies if you leave feedback (which is always optional).  Ebay tells a buyer that three stars is average, four is good, and five is great.  They tell sellers if you average a four on any one star you can be suspended from selling.  It's somewhat more involved, but that's the gist.  If you encounter a problem, please contact me before leaving feedback; I can't fix what I don't know about.

I had no idea this was the case. I'm surprised we have not seen more posts here about this.

Used to be able to do a Find & Replace.  Not sure if that's still possible, but if it is, you have to be REALLY careful, as it works best on highly structured data & is super literal, so it often doesn't work the way people expect.

As for your disclosure, there's no need to put that in the listing.  It won't help you in any way.  It's not gonna help if you get a SNAD or return request.  Ebay will NOT give it any credence.  So,  I would not waste my time.

Not 100% sure if this one is still true or not, but I have no intention of finding out.   It sure used to be. The bad buyers won't read or don't care, and the good ones  contact a seller if something got messed up before leaving feedback.

The cat fur disclosure comes from several sellers getting negged for cat fur a long time ago, and some trouble I had once returning black pants that I'd taken home to try on. (retailer had no dressing rooms.)

I looked at one of your items, you have in the description has small chip and hairline crack, you should put this info in the item condition section so at least buyer will see it. I would even go as far as to mention it in the title. Just a suggestion because your going to get someone forcing a return stating the item was damaged. This will happen because buyers don't read descriptions. I doubt a discloser clause would even be read either.

Don't add that.  It's unnecessary information and a less than honest person will use it to their advantage.

The  intelligent buyers will know that already and the less than intelligent ones won't read it.
