I HAVE CURRENTLY GOT AN ITEM UP FOR AUCTION AND IT MEASURES 6ft  X3ft. When checking the post I noticed that in postage section I could send by post  or list as buyer collect. I don't know how it happened but I cannot find  how to change to buyer collect only.

You cannot remove the shipping option, because the auction has received bids.

Your choices are: (1) let the auction run its course, and hope that the winner is reasonable about the shipping mistake; or (2) cancel the auction so you can make corrections before relisting.  If you choose option 2, you might want to add a comment in your Description before you end the listing, mentioning the reason for the cancellation.

If you cancel the auction be sure to cancel all the bids before ending it or you will have to sell to the highest bidder.

When a seller starts the process of ending an auction early, if the auction has bids and has more than 12 hours left, the seller must choose between (1) sell to the high bidder or (2) cancel the bid(s) and end with no transaction.

Therefore, canceling the bids before starting the process of ending the auction is not necessary, though there is anecdotal evidence that it avoids the early-ending penalty fee which is charged if a seller ends more than one auction early in a calendar year.
