My payout runs from Christmas Eve to New Years Eve this year and it's a good one, the best since August. I'm hoping that bodes well for sales in January which are usually better than normal. I have been listing more things than I regularly do and being open to all reasonable offers between what I give and receive. I am challenging myself to list hard over the next month before taking some weeks off. I want to surpass the size of my inventory that I had in 2024 on Amazon (books and media).

When things are bad, hang in ... it's just a matter of time till it improves.
If things are going well ... hang on - it will change.

Less than 2 weeks ago you called this "the year without a Christmas" because you did not get a Christmas sales surge like the one you had in August.

I'm so confused.
Regardless, good to hear your sales were better than you expected (I think that's what you're saying?).

That is called "February". It's a mystery why books sell well in January, it's not all going to college students.

yes, exactly, the first 2 weeks of December su pposedly for Xmas gifts was a bust this year.
In this thread I am talking about sales from Christmas Eve to New Years eve. Presumably not presents. Apparently travel wasn't necessary a deal breaker and I am grateful. Also exploring the effect of listing more. I had a lot of trouble listing much here when I was also on Amazon, just not enough time and energy to do both.

Congrats.
Looks like you did not only sell lots of merch that you should never hope the likes of again, but some items which might fit a continuing profit model.
On to 2025

Not sure what you are referring to unless the audiobooks on CDs. I sold one lot which went unpaid for so I had to list it again and got a bid right away. I am sort of helping the library by taking a flying leap selling them, they weeded tons and nothing is selling (audiobooks on CDs dying).
