If anyone posts a phone number here, or anywhere on the internet, claiming it is Ebay DO NOT CALL it. Use the "contact us" link at the bottom of most ebay pages and have ebay call you.
You have to use the "contact us" feature and request that they call you back. They do not accept phone calls directly anymore. As @itscalledapostingid states, numbers you find on the internet are unsafe you use. Even the ones previously KNOWN to be eBay numbers have been somehow jacked and now connect with criminals.
That being said, if you have a problem you are likely to get faster and more reliable advice by asking here. "More reliable" being the key factor as the advice you get from the lower tier customer service reps is often inappropriate and can lead to unsavory consequences that could have been avoided.
