As a seller, i think eBay made a mistake in not allowing paypal credit to be used as a "make offer" on listings.

i have made sales above $100 because of paypal credit. Why the limitation???

I believe it is probably how they are dealing with the advance payment. The logical way to do it is to do an authorization hold for an arbitrary amount before you bid, and then do a charge when you win.

This is how pay at the pump works at gas stations.

PayPal does not have provisions for authorization holds for its merchants.

PayPal is not the equal of Ebay's credit card processor.
