Hello everyone,
I need some guidance on how to challenge a payment dispute that a buyer recently opened. The reason stated is "buyer did not recognize the transaction."
Here are the key details:
I shipped the item on time with USPS, and the tracking number shows it is out for delivery today (June 3).
eBay's estimated delivery date was May 31.
The address on the label matches the one provided by the buyer during checkout.
I want to know:
"Why are you challenging this dispute?"

It doesn’t mean you won the dispute, but it means that if you lose, eBay will cover the refund. If I’m remembering my own experience with this correctly, though, the funds still stay on hold until the dispute closes. My most recent payment dispute wasn’t decided for 3-4 months.

How much was this transaction in total, paid by the buyer?
Go to www.usps.com and file a trace on the package.

This type of reason for a Chargeback Dispute is usually easy to win. You do need to submit a copy of the Paid Order you received. Give them the tracking number when hopefully by now shows delivered.

Thank you so much for your help!
The total amount of the transaction was 485.10USD, and yes, the USPS tracking now shows the package was delivered to the correct address.
I’ll go ahead and file a trace request through the USPS link you shared, just to have everything fully documented.
Also, I’ve already gathered:
A copy of the Paid Order from eBay
The tracking number with “Delivered” status
Screenshots showing I shipped on time and to the buyer’s confirmed address
I’ll be submitting all of that as part of the challenge. is that all i must provide to win this dispute ?
Really appreciate your guidance—thanks again!

It means exactly what it says. You are just fine. Ebay is taking care of things and your money is safe. There is nothing for you to do, Ebay handled it.

Correct. I don’t know why they keep the funds on hold either, since either way they’ll pay them out to you eventually, but I also know that there’s not really anything you can do but wait.

eBay makes money on HELD funds. No sense giving them back if they don't have to. Since this is a Payment Dispute (aka chargeback or PayPal query), it is likely that they send that message to the seller simply because the address for shipment and the billing address for the card are the same.
I don't think there is an "eBay" reason applicable, for when the card holder did not authorize the charge at all as in the case of a compromised card. People that do that, typically don't send the products to the address associated with the card, and in those I have seen sellers lose in the past. They are called the same thing "didn't recognize the charge" but are not. FWIW

It is on hold due to normal New seller rules. Not because of the Chargeback.

I'm very glad we were able to help you.
Your funds are still on hold, NOT because of the Chargeback, but because of another rule for new sellers.
Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

@mam98031 , when we had our recent chargeback (I say recent, I think it was actually filed last December), it was held because of the chargeback, for the full time until that was decided. Nothing to do with the new seller rules. That might be an extra factor here, but what I was talking about is different.

when i go to payment on my seller hub and see available funds i see the item with this dispute (first one) says estimated release on jun 11 ..... i have a case opened in the other watch and im waiting for ebay decision and it says funds on hold untill the request is resolved ( and im so sure ill win this case too )
so i think that the fund are not on hold no?
