part of draft deleted when activating listing

I created several listings and activated them by clicking on the "list it" box on the bottom of the page. On the way to being activated, part of the draft information was deleted. The listing kept the pictures, the title, the amount I was asking, and the shipping method. It deleted the description and other information after the title section. I tried different browsers - when I tried to revise the listing as an active listing, the description section was completely gone. I couldn't type in it at all. Anyone have a solution for this?

Potentially another glitch with the new listing tool. Is this happening with every listing or just some? If it's hit and miss it's probably not your browser. Try taking one of active listings a do a sell similar, type the description back in and save it as a draft Check the draft and if it looks good delete the active one and post the draft and see if everything holds.

I have not had any problems with loosing the description but I have had several things that have not held in listings I created with the new tool that I had to edit in the active listing and fix. Unfortunately you have a LOT of listings and having to constantly check them all is going to become a PITA if this continues.

Thanks, I will try this. What I really dislike is that I don't trust them at all anymore and will have to double-check all my work. You're right - it's a PITA!

An update - I tried your suggestion and sell similar didn't work (at that time). Miraculously, the problem now seems to be fixed, and the descriptions are being imported now. Following the old adage "Once bitten, twice shy", I am going to keep checking the listing when I post them and also check random listings to make sure that they aren't being randomly deleted.
