Re: now thats amusing

Doesn't Discover also charge an extra percentage to merchants?

The B&M store I work for wont take Discover but will take Amex.

I just received the notification from eBay to update my payment method for selling fees as they will no longer be excepting American Express by August 17, 2024.

We are a business and that's the only card our company uses.

Not sure what to add now for the backup payment as the owner won't get any other card for the business.

I suspect you can still use an Amex card for backup funding via PayPal.

@kensgiftshop

Longer than eBay does?

When I accepted American Express on my web site, sometimes it would be close to 2 weeks before they would release the money.

Have a great day.

Wouldn't the Amex still work as a backup, even if eBay does not take it as a payment method from buyers?

If not, then what to use in place of it would be up to the owner, not you.
