Yes, eBay sends a message that tells them you have listed new items.

Yes, but not every single time you list another item.  It's typically once a week. I don't have one of the messages in my inbox right now, but it says something like  NEW ITEMS FROM (Seller name) and displays a few and invites me to look online to see more.

It would be insufferable if you follow a seller who's busy and your inbox was flooded with emails every few minutes - so eBay sort of 'batches' them.
