Did you mean:

notification delay from price drop

If you have watchers they get a notification of a price drop 5%+.

How long is the delay before they can get another price drop notification?

Been testing, been 2 days no notification.

Anyone know the delay ?

Just a comment on a buyer removing an item from watchlist, then re adding, from what I've read on here and reddit, I think anytime a buyer removes then re adds the item to their watchlist, they are eligible to receive another offer. Don't know for sure but all signs point to yes (from what I've learned). I guess I should test out this theory....

@reb-lo

This is an old thread from 2023.  OP doesn't appear to be selling anymore, so I doubt they'll reply.

Should you have any questions or concerns it is always a good idea to start your own thread to get the help and advice for your specific issue.

Robbie is an active seller using a posting ID; he's also active here on this forum.

Well that changes things if it's true.

Thanks for letting me know.

Currently testing a high priced marked up item on 5% every 24 hours, and what you say seems consistent. Only 1 notification. Will let it run for at least a week to see if any new notifications trigger.

I think 5% is pretty much an Ebay minimum for all kinds of things. I know that (as a buyer) I don't want to be bombarded with notifications that some seller has lowered his price by a whopping 3% or so. Whoopee. 🙄

I would also think that Ebay has a minimum waiting period AFTER a price reduction before they will alert others about a further change later on. If you were sending offers I think the minimum response time (or maybe the maximum) is 48 hours for interested buyers to respond. Since a price reduction is basically open-ended, I doubt that ANOTHER price reduction within 48 hours will trigger the same notification process. One week seems like a more reasonable waiting period before the notification process will re-arm on the same listing.

Try earmarking some listings to have a further 5% (minimum) reduction 4 days after their first one, and a different set of listings 8 days after their first one. Let us know what more you find out!

Being able to see if it's limited to 10 would be a challenge lol.

This is a somewhat older thread, but just to update this point, the help page states the limit is 30. SIO will go to a max of 30 most recent interested shoppers. I don't know whether or not the same limit applies to price drops.

The previous rule about a buyer having to view the item 3x or more also appears to be outdated since reports over the last couple months are from buyers that say they viewed the item only once. I think gurlcat had a separate thread on that where she ran tests with this community.

eBay appears to evaluate and change the criteria for interested shoppers on a regular basis, probably based on buyer engagement levels.

Regarding SIO, not price drop notifications, this is what eBay presents on the SIO pop up to define interested shoppers:
