Another newbie question, after 8 months of squirrels bidding on this toy snap on tool box bank and not paying someone finally bought it and he now says its a toy, not real and wants his money back. I don't do returns and clear description and condition  was provided yet his neg feed back sticks, so now what

Thank you

Your listing isn't clear enough, and you've provided no measurements.

I think you should accept the return, and then the buyer might revise the neg..

If the buyer files a claim, the buyer will probably win.

Did this Dingleberry really think he was getting an actual big boy's Snap On tool chest? For $1,000 (or more)  less than what one costs? Good Lord. It looks like a very cool bank. Just like the real tool chest. You haven't mailed it yet right? Nasty sucky news but let this fella cancel & refund him. He might feel like a fool (he is) after really reading your description but won't apologize for taking your time & hopes away.  Or for his misunderstanding of what he was buying.  Sorry you ran into yet another squirrel.

There's got to be some well established mechanics out there who don't even know this cool Snap On collectible exists. Relist, be patient & hope that buyer finds your toy tool chest bank. Good luck!

Your no-return policy covers only remorse returns. If a buyer files a SNAD, that preempts your no-return policy. Just accept the return and process the refund when you receive the item back in the condition in which you sent it.

You could try to have the negative feedback removed by contacting Customer Service and having them look at the listing versus the feedback.

Well crud, you did ship it & very quickly. Let him return it, give his refund then request a revision of the neg. Do be as nice as possible even tho you want to smack him a good one! Hoping he agrees to revise it.

Had you listed this in the category for toy banks I might be with you.

You however, listed this in the category where people would find full size actual tool chests.

eBay uses the category, etc far more to give placement than what words you might write.

He did a search for an actual tool chest and this was shown to him. He bought it. Had you listed it in the banks category, he would have never been shown this.

Sorry it has happened to you, but you could have prevented this by not putting it in the category as a full size tool chest.

I am one who is always supporting the seller, but I have to say two things. First, your photos are way too dark. Second, you need to supply measurements and some other common object in the photo to provide some sort of scale. I have no idea if the box is 8" across or 36" across. If you do these things you would be much less likely to get a return.

Yes, doing everything you can to avoid a return may actually help you...well, avoid a return!

Wonder how many sales are lost by no measurements, unclear descriptions, dark pictures...

I can't really agree with you that you provided a clear description.  For instance, this is model KRA5012 which I couldn't see until I loaded your picture into my picture editing program and lightened it a lot.

I have no idea what this statement means:

I purchased off of the Snap On truck many years ago

This is not helpful information!  How many years ago?

You mention some damage but your pictures are so dark that I have no ability to see the damage.

Your Condition - Sellers notes say:   all the tools are there and it operates properly

But I can't see the tools. You don't even say how many tools there are.

And I don't know what it means when you say that it operates properly. Does it have a motor or something?  Or do you just mean that the drawers and hinges slide/open smoothly?

You don't mention that this is a 1:8 scale item.

For $119, surely this item deserved a little more care and time spent in preparing a listing that made it clear what was being sold, what size it is.

You say that the item was made in the USA.  Are you sure?  I see others of this model for sale, and they say they're made in China.

I realize that many other sellers of similar items have listed theirs in the same category as you did, but this is a collectible not an actual tool chest and should have been placed in a category like  Toys and Games, or Collectibles or Advertising Memorabilia etc.  Putting it in the same category as full size tool chests is just asking for problems.

Take it back, grovel to the buyer, and if you intend to relist it, photograph it properly, put it in the right category, show the damage clearly, show evidence (if any) that this really was made in the USA (if it was) provide measurements, and show the tools etc nicely.

Regardless of the assumptions of others here, your listing clearly states its a "Toy Box" in the item description. Likewise, I don't think the buyer's reasoning for negative feedback holds up. I would call ebay and ask that it be removed.

The buyer states "Very bad sellers this Demo not tools box I’m no need this Items." Your buyer is obviously illiterate and can't read very well to begin with. That's their problem, not yours.

The fact your buyer "didn't need" something they can't read to begin with is hardly a justifiable reason to leave negative feedback.

As for returns, you state you don't accept them, ebay says you do! Those are the rules. If you don't accept a return, ebay will just take your money, give it to the buyer, and let them keep your product.

If you want to get nitpicky, this is an actual definition of bank.....

: a group or series of objects arranged together in a row or a tier a bank of vending machines

The full size chest could be described as a bank of drawers.

It's listed under collectibles, in a category for tool boxes.  What do you suggest?
