Re: markdown manger is becoming Promotions manager

@ymeagainlord is correct.  The promotion manager is just a tool for sellers to use that helps them set up promotions like discounts that can be for specific listings or entire categories of item.  There are many options and basically can do everything I can think of that the MM used to be able to do.

I have used the promotion manager for about a year now.  It is a far better tool than MM.  Yes you will have a new learning curve but do not let this get in your way.  There are real benefits to using this tool.

Good Luck Selling!

Re: markdown manger is becoming Promotions manager

I use markdown manager a lot to put items on sale.  I never used promotions before but I tried on a few items.  Where do the customers see these promotions?  It does not appear in my ebay store under sales.  It looks like the promotion only shows up when you click on the item.   Is there a way to show the old price with the markdown price?    Is promotions really better for promotions other than a markdown?  So far for me the markdown manager seems a lot easier and better.  What am I missing?  Thank you in advance

Re: markdown manger is becoming Promotions manager

I'm with you.   I like the markdown magager and it is one reason I have a "store".   The Q&A at the "what's changing" link is so poorly written, I can't understand it  ...  Except to laugh at ebay's excuse for the change being that "sellers asked for it..."

Re: markdown manger is becoming Promotions manager

I am not at all happy about this merger one bit.  I am actually quite confused about it.  I hope this is better explained in the near future.  I don't want to "opt in".  I don't like how they try to fix things aren't broken.  I really like using MM.

same here i really like it myself and maybe just my opinion but it was one of the best things they ever did for sellers when they came out with it. and for making sales it works for me !  really its so stupid to change things that work

Bill Cobb describes critics as just 'bad sellers'.

JD Hoe describes critics as just 'noise-makers'.

So... business as usual. At least for the Ebay CHEERLEADERS and board of directors.
