make an offer button availability

I posted 2 similar items for sale - received a bid on 1 (below the reserve) and an offer on the 2nd.  I accepted the offer on the 2nd.  this buyer wants to make an acceptable offer on the 1st as well but the 'make an offer' button is not there.  Is it because there is a bid already on the item?  If so, how do I accept offers on it?  Or do I have to wait until the auction has ended and relist?  Thanks for any help - I need to provide an answer to the offer buyer.

If you're happy with what they bid, I think you can accept their bid end the auction with them as the winner.

Have a great day.

The person to make an offer is different from the person with a bid on it.

You can't change the listing because you have a bid.

When the auction ends, you can't just simply re-list because you will have a winning bidder, one bid has already been placed, and there might be more later..

no I don't have a winning bidder - there is a reserve that has not been met.

I know you don''t have a winning bidder because the listing hasn't ended, but you might have a winning bidder when the listing ends, if the reserve is met.

However, you could cancel the bid, and then revise the listing..

Quick answer.

Yes, the best offer button disappeared as soon as a bid was placed even if reserve was not met (this depends on the category but evidently your item is one).

You could certainly cancel the bid and revise. Then hold onto your hat and hold your breath that your buyer actually follows through with an acceptable offer that would allow you to accept, combine shipping all within your stated handling time for the first purchase.
