Is it safe to say my entire cache of items listed are not always visible to everyone searching for a particular product? Specific patterns of sales are way too peculiar ie.........no sales for 2 days then 2 sales in 2 minutes OR 3 straight media mail sales or 3 straight sales on items listed over a year. I have heard on some of my items are visible at different times in different regions etc. but curious on thoughts about this. My brother went from 600 listings to a 1000 listings and his number of sales have not increased which does not seem feasible.

I Have Noticed The Same Or Similar Patterns, Don't Know Exactly What's Going On, But I Don't Like It!

I've noticed that for years.
I'll go a couple days without any sales, then I'll get a couple from the Northeast area.
A couple days later, get a couple sales from the Northwest area.

Buyers have discovered this and have resorted to searching from browsers rather than the platform itself...not something new. I know many stamp and airmail cover collectors who search using the browser method.
This method would hurt sellers who frequently end and sell similar as the web crawlers are never going to pick up items.
I was experimenting with this particular method the last several days and it's obvious items are simply not showing up in the Ebay platform search. But, using google chrome I was able to find the items...mind you, these were not my items.
One example is us sc c23, a very popular US Airmail issue from 1938. When the platform is searched, using various accounts and Ebay Platform searches, 40-44 results are returned.
When 1938 is added to the query of US Sc c23, 2 results are returned.
Using Google Chrome, you'll find there is a plethora of US Sc c23 available for purchase on Ebay. It's obvious these items, if showing up on a browser, are and have been available for purchase on Ebay.
Maybe I'm not thinking hard enough but my explanation is that Ebay is not showing these items, for reasons unknown...I know, I know! I'm not going to mention it.
