Been on ebay for 20 years....always adapting to changes but some hard to figure out.
All my listings now show TWO vertical scrollbars. I have done some searching on this but have found no solution to this. I want my listings to come up to buyers with just one vertical scroll bar on right side of screen with no internal SECOND scroll bar.
Is the 2nd verical due to some sizing statment in html? I use custom templates to start a listing and then modify with full frame pictures within the description area.
Is eBay autmatically changing my listings to make sure they will show up on phones (60 % of ebay sales I understand).
Any help? Thanks.

I don't see any of your listings. You must have Hawaii blocked.

Thanks for that code...I'll look for in in my listings. Thought I had done a search for "iframe" within the html but either I didn't or something else is going on.

Thanks again retro...the iframe will become the focus of my further trying to get it fixed. Will try to come back here if I get it done....just knowing that buyers who look at my listings do not seem to see the two verticals helps me; ...did you notice two verticals when YOU looked. I don't think you said one way or the other.

Yes, I do have Hawaii and Alaska blocked. I had several bad experiences with both states so just decided to go with lower 48. I also used to sell to overseas but have since eliminated that as well. For me at least there seems to be plenty of biz "locally". Thanks for letting me know that Hawaii is actually out of my range via eBay.

@movieman990 wrote:Yes, the iframe aspect has been something I have been reading about but even though I can use html (and I do for some editing), I haven't found an iframe reference with "finding" a word or phrase within hmtl on the listing...but I will look again. I haven't had this problem for the bulk of the 20 years I have used templates and hmtl on my listings...go figure...I figure it's something I just don't understand or ebay has been tinkering with listings to serve their purposes. Thanks.
The iFrame is not being inserted via you're HTML Markup Code it's injected into the output stream from eBay.
Imagine if you will an eBay page made up of parts... Some of those parts are static, they don't change such as the menu for example.
Now your description and everyone elses in their listing are like a separate web page, the iFrame is like a separate browser window displaying you description web page inside the eBay page understand? For example, I could make a webpage, put it on a webserver and in that page put an iFrame that displays say CNN's homepage. If CNN's homepage is larger than the real-estate I assign the frame height and width the scrollbars will appear so the websurfer can use them to navigate the "Embedded Page."
The problem with iFrame's is that the height and width of the embedded page is not known in advance. My example, my webpage cannot know how wide or high CNN's page is in advance. There are some program code libraries that attempt to deal with that problem but due to how web browsers "interpret" pages when rendering (processing them for display) results can vary pretty strange-like at times.
See... The webpage has to be "rendered" before program code can assess the height and width.
Web pages are rendered from top to bottom.
-----------------
My Web Page
-----------
- iFrame -
- Page -
-----------
-----------------
So webserver is outputting "My Web Page" and when it hits that iFrame HTML Markup the browser in our case makes a HTTP request to CNN. It then renders that page within the iFrame but "My Web Page" has no idea how tall or wide CNN's page is if its too big it'll insert the scrollbars. Understand?
Now search engines such as Google, Bing etc dont spider iFrames as the content is from a completely separate web page. So on "My Web Page" Google will index my content, but in as far as the iFrame goes that's from CNN, why would it include indexing that under My Web Page on my fictitious "MyWebPage.com." If Google did and the assigned CNN's data to my website, then search results of indexing all over the web be complete disaster.
It is however a very very useful HTML Object in the right circumstances.
For example, many years back I ran a Multiple Sclerosis website and with permission from the Pharma companies who make "MS" medications I embedded their Medication profile documents in iFrames on the website. That way visitors to the site need not go off site to learn about the prescribing information of those medications. Additionally save me the work of creating those profiles and of course Pharma companies update those profiles and on my website, every time they update, my site's data was current because it was actually THEIR websites profile being "embedded" in mine.

I think I understand what you are saying...basically the iframe does NOT appear in my html, and therefore there's nothing I can do about it.
Well, as long as prospective buyers aren't seeing the two verticals it's only a problem for me when looking at the pages. I guess I can sign out of eBay and then do a search for my items and see what they look like...no one else has suggested that, but the 3 or so folks who indicate they didn't see a second vertical give some support to that idea.

Sometimes if the page doesn't completely load, I'll get the extra scroll bars.
Reload the page and they usually go away.

Ok, thought you may be on the app. Just FYI, I am on same except mine's a desktop & your listings look fine.

Correct, the iFrame is generated from eBay.
It's a bug more than likely that will get corrected or it's something that's simply transitional keep pages glued together whilst they do other work.

I have tried everything posted here by other users and also went to a friends house, used their computer and found my listings showed up OK there (no 2nd vertical bar).
It is the next morning now and the inconsistencies seem to continue but more often than not when looking at either current listings or even listings from months ago the 2nd bar sometimes shows and sometimes doesnt.
Going to close this thread if I can as it looks like a ghost happening and as far as I can figure out is coming from the eBay end.
Thanks to all who contributed here.
