Been on ebay for 20 years....always adapting to changes but some hard to figure out.
All my listings now show TWO vertical scrollbars. I have done some searching on this but have found no solution to this. I want my listings to come up to buyers with just one vertical scroll bar on right side of screen with no internal SECOND scroll bar.
Is the 2nd verical due to some sizing statment in html? I use custom templates to start a listing and then modify with full frame pictures within the description area.
Is eBay autmatically changing my listings to make sure they will show up on phones (60 % of ebay sales I understand).
Any help? Thanks.

I have tried everything posted here by other users and also went to a friends house, used their computer and found my listings showed up OK there (no 2nd vertical bar).
It is the next morning now and the inconsistencies seem to continue but more often than not when looking at either current listings or even listings from months ago the 2nd bar sometimes shows and sometimes doesnt.
Going to close this thread if I can as it looks like a ghost happening and as far as I can figure out is coming from the eBay end.
Thanks to all who contributed here.

Can you post a screenshot? I don't see anything unusual on your listings so it may be something on your end that is making you view it like that.
To start I would probably try deleting history/cookies rebooting the pc and then looking at it again.

I only see one scroll bar. In the similar sponsored listings you can see a partial gray image that resembles a scroll bar but it is just that, a partial image of the next sponsored listing.

I checked three of your listings at random, not seeing scroll bars, post a link to a listing that you are seeing this.

I see 2 horizonal scroll bars with 'similar sponsored' and the 2nd row being either 'other similar sponsored' or 'inspired by your views'
all BEFORE a customer gets to the Description. Was bad enough getting buyers to read a description, now they will see nothing but 'commercials' and stop scrolling??

eBay descriptions are being shown in an "iFrame", basically speaking embedded content and from what I can see listings in said embedded content are fixed at 720 pixels whereby height shouldn't be set at all. It should be letting the browser set the "Invisible Frame" height. Listing is longer than 720 pixels it's going to force the scrollbar. I'm only looking via my PC and see same in my listings which use simple responsive cascading style information.
Question come to bare would also be since the description's sit in an iFrame (basically an embedded webpage as I noted) is the text within said pages being indexed towards searches internal to eBay. Generally speaking external search engines will not index iFrame contents as they tend to be embedded content from other websites but at the sametime I've no clue as to what eBay submits to search engines vs traditional webs which are essentially site maps.

iframe id="desc_ifr" src= title="Seller's description of item" sandbox="allow-scripts allow-popups allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox allow-same-origin" height="1720" width="1360" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" frameborder="0"></iframe
Ooops, 1720. The again I look at another, its 720.

Looking again other sellers listings height is dynamic as it should be. I'd estimate something is afoul in the the Javascript associated with the "Sandbox" identifier but there might be other javascript code associated with the frame.

Thanks for your answer. I am using Chrome on a 2 year old laptop. The other answers here also offer some thoughts to explore.

Thanks for your thoughts...yes, eBay tinkers to the point of destroying some things for us.

Yes, the iframe aspect has been something I have been reading about but even though I can use html (and I do for some editing), I haven't found an iframe reference with "finding" a word or phrase within hmtl on the listing...but I will look again. I haven't had this problem for the bulk of the 20 years I have used templates and hmtl on my listings...go figure...I figure it's something I just don't understand or ebay has been tinkering with listings to serve their purposes. Thanks.
