listing views

Why am I getting some weird listing view numbers?  For example; I just listed an item and it has 2 views but 4 watchers. How can this be? I would expect there to be at least 4 views if there are 4 watchers.

People can put it on a watch list without opening the listing...........just look at a search.......look for the heart.

I’ll often watch an item as a flag to go back and dig into the listing.  Or, I’ll mark it to watch if I want the item, but think that the pricing is crazy, and I want a ping if the price is lowered.

I was just going to say the same thing

for some reason I was on an info page yesterday and it explained the entire thing

It was the bot views explanation page and it did mention that watchers can watch without actually opening up the page. I had seen the same thing in my views page a while ago and was also wondering
