large increase in Ebay shipping labels for USPS

Has anyone else noticed the large increase in Ebay shipping labels for USPS over the last week, 10/1/22 - now 10/8/22?

Yes.  It took me by surprise as well.  It started at the beginning of this month (October) and it will be until about January 2023.

According to USPS, the holiday season is 4 months long. So they raise the rates in early October until the end of January. Then they will revert back to the 2022 rates for about a week only to raise the rates for 2023. Brilliant.

Have not checked the dates myself,  but seems .............  not at all. End one, start the other at a very short interval.

One ends Jan 22, other starts Jan 22. Not much of an interval.

I'm not sure of the exact dates, but it all takes place at the end of January. Of course, the holiday rates will affect only certain items and classes and the 2023 rate increase will be more of a broader increase.

Here is the part about USPS Holiday increases in eBays announcement - doesn't  sound too large or something one would want to just jump off a curb about,    Read and dig into the  details to see the impact.

Since 2008 USPS has announced rate changes for the upcoming year in December that will be effective effective in January of the following year.- generally around the 20th

USPS   
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced temporary increases from October 2, 2022 to January 22, 2023 for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, First Class Packages and Parcel Select Ground.   

Great news! Most Priority Mail shipments will not have the announced peak rate increases when you print your labels on eBay.  

• There is no increase for zones 1-6, 0-2 lbs 
• There is no increase for zones 1-5, 3 lbs 
• There is no increase for zones 1-4, up to 10 lbs 
• There is no increase for Flat Rate Boxes and Envelopes with the exception of Regional Boxes

First-Class Packages will have the following peak rate increases: 

• $0.25 increase for Zones 1-4 
• $0.40 increase for Zones 5-9 

Priority Mail Express, Parcel Select Ground and Priority Mail for weights and zones not mentioned above will have the published rate increase. Please refer to the announcement from USPS for full details: USPS peak season rate updates.
