It seems to be working fine on this page, but when I'm attempting to type info in my listing, the characters I type are NOT what is showing up on the screen. I tried restarting my computer and that seems to help temporarily, but then it comes right back, usually before I can finish the listing. I don't seem to have this issue on any other pages/windows/tabs/sites...
Anyone having this problem, or have a fix?
Thank you

Open up notepad, use plain text formatting and write your descriptions there. Then copy and paste them into your listing.

Interesting band-aid, thank you. I have to assume this is an internal eBay problem, and hopefully a permanent solution will come forth.

I agree- it's more likely a problem with your computer than with eBay. Do a full scan of your system. If you're not computer savvy get somebody else to check it out for you.

I had a VERY old keyboard subject to the occasional hiccup you described. I replaced the keyboard and the problem stopped.
One too many donut crumbs maybe.

I had the same problem years ago, but when it was a faulty keyboard I had the issue no matter where I was typing. The poster in this thread said it's only on certain sites which means malware is a more likely cause.
That's a good reminder though- I'm due for my 4 month keyboard cleaning. I pluck off the keys and clear the dust from underneath.

If you have other windows open at the time this weird character issue appears, do you see correct text if you switch to another window (e.g. a Notepad or Wordpad text window) and type something in there? Do you see wrong characters in only one window but not others, or are you unable to type the correct text anywhere once the problem starts?
If it's only in certain locations, such as your eBay editing window, what happens if you copy and paste some of the nonsense text from the eBay window into a Notepad window? Do you see the same garbage characters when pasted into the Notepad window, or do they correct themselves?
