A misleading error?

If you refunded the buyer through the appropriate process, I do believe they'll have to buy it again when it's relisted.

It is going to depend on how you handled the refund.  Before anyone can give you accurate advice, you need to supply more information.

What is a "misleading error" and how does a refund fix that?

Did you go into PayPal and issue the refund from the original payment?

If you refunded through Ebay, did you also cancel the transaction?

Because ebay charge some sort of tax to US buyer that's effecting the shipping, example : i charge $15 for US shipping for this item, the invoice Ebay send i land with only $9.89 for the shipping when i look to Paypal payment receive, this what i call misleading info, because it cost me $15, so i lost $5 on the shipping.

And Yes i refund the buyer through Paypal directly, by refunding his original payment.

Before Ebay change all kind of feature on the site, we as a seller, be able to refund the buyer and the same day we have access to send another invoice, this is something we can't do anymore.

What was the item number for this transaction please, so we can look into it?

I started selling on eBay more than 15 years ago, and I don't remember ever being able to send another invoice after the buyer had paid and been refunded. A long time ago, it was possible to send an invoice from PayPal, but that hasn't been possible for a long time.

Part of your issues is simple misunderstandings on your part and maybe the buyer too.  First it isn't "misleading" that your shipping amount did not invoice correctly.  You need to take a peek at how that listing was set up as it pulled that number from somewhere.

As to sales tax.  Yes in 34, soon to be 38 US states, Ebay along with every other site like Ebay on the internet has to charge sales tax to that buyer for their state.  That you nor the buyer can get around.  The link below will help.

If you did not cancel the transaction then this transaction should now be showing as unpaid because you refunded the payment directly in PP.  So your buyer should be able to pay for it again from their purchase history.

But it is doubtful it will be any different.  You couldn't change the listing after it was purchased, so the same thing is likely to happen again.
