I recently fulfilled an order at the post office, and lost the tracking number, my customer has stated the package arrived today but eBay's tracking of the package is incorrect. Is it possible to update the tracking to show its been delivered without having the original tracking number?

Just a heads up about your shipping. Some of your items appear to have postage that's too low. I see you sold a violin for $20. with free shipping. You can go in the hole quickly on shipping if you aren't careful. Be sure to weigh & measure your package & enter when you list. If you offer free shipping, figure out what you need to charge for the item so you end up with something. Above all, don't buy the postage retail at the post office.

You lost the receipt?
You should be uploading the tracking number on eBay within your handling time to prove you shipped on time.
Your payment should be released by 30 days if the buyer doesn't claim not received. I hope you didn't let the buyer know you don't have the tracking number because some buyers will use that to get their money back. Can be a FREE ITEM if you can't prove delivery. Feedback isn't proof. On eBay only the tracking number showing delivered is proof.

No, you cannot just mark item "as delivered". EBAY requires USPS tracking# is your proof of delivery (but this may not be a problem because your customer already said they received the package).

well I have no reason to believe she is lying that it was delivered because 3 other packages I mailed that day arrived around the same time. I have the receipt, but that does nothing on USPS as you have to have tracking number regardless.

I've never gotten a receipt from USPS that didn't have a tracking number on it unless I was just buying stamps.

Hi @rental_estate_auctions (If you purchase your shipping labels thru eBay, the tracking number is automatically uploaded to eBay. Purchasing your postage thru eBay can also save on postage costs. Thru discounted rates.) or are you concerned the usps tracking details do not match up with eBay’s details? There is often a delay between the two. Give it a day to catch up.

Yea thats the one I'm having issues with. This info would have been very useful when I first started around October. Yea I am slowly learning this, Ebay kept telling me it would cost me like 30 to send something when I knew for a fact I could mail twice as cheap at the post office. But yea I honestly thought I would sell more with free shipping cuz i thought it would help me move more. These items are from storage that I clean out of rental properties, but yea I had to cancel a couple orders not realizing free shipping was highlighted. Or Id list an item too low on auction and they'd get hawked last minute. But every time I've listed low I noticed a significant difference in bidders

Every package I've mailed has to be at the post office so they weigh everything there anyways. When you say the postage is too low , you mean the charge for shipping?
