Did you mean:

incomplete return.. this is a nightmare

buyer bought $2500 worth of coins from me. gets them and opens a return. the full $2500 is on hold.

he only sent back about $500 worth. kept the rest.

i reported him, etc etc.. did everything i can do within the website. i called ebay and they said to wait and see what he has to say. he hasn't replied to messages.

i have about 24 hours to get this figured out or else he's probably going to get the full $2500 refunded.

what in the world can i do here?

Re: incomplete return.. this is a nightmare

All good questions.  I stopped selling silver and gold coin lots long ago and luckily never had a sale go south.

Depending on how things work out I would start by filing a police report in the buyers home town.  Given your recent feedback experiences I would also stop listing any clothing items.

I have a penchant for travel and am not afraid to visit people who rip me off.  This includes a not so nice gentleman who took advantage of my.....I better stop there.  Elder abusers get special treatment is all I am going to write.  For some reason their vehicles tend to break down after they steal money from senior citizens.

Please report back if ebay lifts a single finger to help resolve your potential theft by yet another buyer gone bad.

I guess the sale of many coins were shipped under one tracking number or was there a claim for each coin? Was it a not as described claim?

Sorry this happened to you but I would never sell any item worth that much money on ebay.  The scammers are circling the site like sharks waiting for sellers who list expensive items.  I hope you succeed

Re: incomplete return.. this is a nightmare

In addition to the police report, file an internet crime complaint at www.ic3.gov, and a mail fraud report at uspis.gov. Keep all your documentation so you can appeal through eBay if the buyer gets refunded.

There are some experienced sellers here who can give you more and better advice on how to proceed. Hopefully one of them will be along soon.
