i entered items for sale

I had it entered  for bidding, but someone won . the price was so low that I was losing money,

the Item was NWT and they won it for $15.00.

Is there a way to place to put a ceiling for I can sell it at least to cover my cost?

@magott-6340

Why did you start your auction at a price that would lose you money?  You can make your starting bid whatever amount that you want.

If you are not wanting to take a risk, you should have a higher starting bid amount.

Yes,  the most obvious way is to set your starting price where you need it.  I think what you mean is how can I set the starting price, not a ceiling.  In either case you need to follow through and mail the item and learn from it.

Clothing sales are cut throat competitive.  You probably already know to check other sellers similar items before you make your listing.  Some things just aren't worth listing unless you know they are only for drawing eyes to your store.

I would suggest putting the size of clothes listing in the title line.

There's nothing oyu can do about this auction, except take the loss and learn the lesson.   In future, if you want to use the auction format, make the opening bid the least amount you are willing to take for the item.   Or use a fixed price listing, with the item priced at the least amount you are willing to take for the item.

You can place a reserve on the auction. That guarantees the minimum price, but there is a fee to do this that is billed to you regardless of the outcome. I do not recommend a reserve price as it can kill bidding. Buyers don’t like reserves. Also, it is best used on high priced items.

Your best bet is to start the bidding at the lowest price that still enables you to at least break even.

Start your auction at what you will be satisfied to get for the item with only one bid, because that is how many auctions end, particularly clothing where one is lucky to get even one bid.

IMHO, I would used fixed price for clothing - you can try best offer if you like.
