I print my customs labels on Chrome. Using ebay labels. Actually I print all my labels on chrome now.
I have problems off and on with Firefox, comes out blank or prints small, then it will be fine. I've reset adobe etc.

It sounds like your printer thinks it's receiving an 8½"x11" document to print on 2½"x7" label stationery, and is scaling everything down to fit.
I would walk through the printer settings and verify that your printer is set up correctly for the size of stationery that it's holding, and that the print queue properties or settings on your computer are set for the same size. It sounds like you've got some kind of unwanted Shrink-to-Fit option going on your print process that's resulting in everything getting too small.

Are you using a form number (like Avery or Staples) in the print dialog? Is it correct? What OS/browser are you using?

okay so right now i go to paypal and print a customs label with postage when it goes to print i get the printing screen and i have to choose fit to size because otherwise i get only 1/4 of the label to print i have blank margins all around what is printed if could get rid of the blank space the labels should be big enough for usps to scan them i have been just printing the labels small if you look hard you can see postage paid then i put another customs label on just in case so either way i have tracking but usps just returned a package for this although ive been doing it for 2 years so how would i go to adobe and fix this? ive already tried to change setting on the print page but nothing works thank you for advice just trying to figure out how i implement it

i dont know how but i got on a page that allowed me to choose no margins when printing. i dont know if when i print on paypal if this will be the finished project? (included a scan with no margin setting) if it doesnt does that mean i try to transfer from pay pal to adobe then print? also how do i get the text to be a little less distorted?

I can't really make heads or tails of what you are doing.
What exactly do you mean "got on a page that allowed me to choose no margins when printing"? Are you talking about a print page setting in your browser that you changed?
What browser?
What setting? What did you change it to?
What is that screenshot of? Is it a screenshot of a print preview in your browser?
That screenshot looks like it was a print mode with no margins, but with a "stretch to page" too. I'm not aware of any browser print function or any PDF viewer print function that does that.
Stretch to page is something that can be done in an image viewer like Irfanview, but I don't think that's what you did there. And stretching to page will do ugly things to a label - you don't want to do that.
Let's try this. The last First Class Package International (FCPI) PayPal label I printed was 3 months ago. Here it is (with PII redacted):
Is that what you are having the issue with?
I'm going to be little help with helping you to get it working with Adobe Reader plugin in your browser. I have not used Adobe anything (except flash plugins) for 5-10 years, and I have not printed PDF content from within a browser in about as long (PDF content was a major vector for malware transmission back in the day, and Adobe was particularly bad about having security vulnerabilities, so I opted to not allow automatic handling and have continued that to this day)
ALL PDF content is downloaded to my hard drive and manually printed or viewed with a third party program like Foxit PDF, PDF Xchange Viewer, Irfanview, or any of a couple dozen others depending on what I need to do with the content. The above label was saved to my hard drive when I hit the Print button at Paypal, and I used PDF Xchange viewer to print the label, and then print the receipt (PDF Xchange viewer has commenting functions which allow masking of part of the page via saved templates to print only the label, only the receipt part, mask out the eBay logo on eBay labels, etc and the pro version has cropping functions too)
Anyway, that is done by my having configured the firefox settings for PDF files to "always save" (and I have no PDF plugins installed or available to the browsers). That is the method I was proposing in my initial post.
You have some sort of software incompatibility and/or settings issue between your browser and PayPal labels (I think), and I can't help you solve that. Whether it's due to your browser updating and breaking something, you having changed something that broke it, or PayPal/Pitney Bowes changing something (haven't seen other users complaining about that recently so doubt it was PayPal) I don't know.
But a workaround is to try saving to PDF and then printing with Adobe, Foxit, Irfanview (with PDF plugin), PDF Exchange Viewer, Sumatra, or any of a dozen other options.
Just had a thought - involves printing from within browser which I don't do as I said, but has been covered in the forums here many times. (wandering off to find threads.......) @rfmtm
Firefox started having built in PDF handling capabilites a while back (I think - I don't use it) and sometimes that can get in the way. Check to see if that is the case, and if so, change the setting to use Adobe instead. If that's not it, change browser settings to not use the Adobe plugin (disable the plugin?), and configure Firefox to open the content with Adobe outside the browser. If that doesn't work, back to my idea of downloading and using another PDF program.
Here are a couple of threads peripherally related to your issue. They involve thermal label printers, but may be relevant to your laser issue too. Pay attention to rfmtm's posts:

Your QL 700 is a thermal label printer and not a laser, and will not print this type of label. You need to output this label to a regular 8.5" x 11" laser or inkjet printer. However, if you have the bigger Brother QL or similar Dymo or Zebra thermal printer, that prints the larger 4" x 6" labels, you can with the proper settings, get the upper label half to fit the 4" x 6" format.

Knew you were the one to signal 🙂
I assumes OP provided accurate initial info and I didn't crosscheck it, and also assumed it was something already working that broke. "Not a laser" is a whole nother animal.

i only have the brother thermal printer (i stand corrected) when using it in paypal to print customs form with postage it was coming out too small with large margins around it so i went into my browser as suggested and selected no margins, since i believe if the customs form prints on a label with no margins it will be large enough to scan. havent had a chance to see if it works. ive been doing this for 2 years its always worked and to be extra safe i have always added a customs form to the packages as well and added that tracking number to ebay mailing info as well.. since sales are sooooo slow i havent been able to see if the no margins setting will allow the customs label to print on entire label area thus enabling it to be scanned but.... the problem im having now is that i print a label on ebay a 7" long piece of label is fed through the printer but only 4 inches is being printed making everything very small with lots of wasted label , the only options on any printer preferences i can find are 2/4 x4. yet my printer has always printed the entire 7" of the label before, why would adding no margins to my browsers print settings cause this? and even more important how do i fix it? and really why does it all have to be so difficult?

For your standard 2.5" x 7" label you need to check the following.
Proper setting in eBay/PayPal printer setup for the QL format.
Proper setting in your QL's Printer Preferences for the correct label type.
In your browser's Page Setup for Scale set to 100%.
And most important, that your browser is opening PDF files, which includes the label preview, with Adobe and not using its built in reader. In the label preview, Size should be Full/Actual and Orientation set to Auto.
If still a problem, come back with OS and browser used, and also a screen shot of the label preview will help.

i figured it out
i save label to pdf ,open reader and use the editing tool take a snapshot. i snapshot top 1/2 of label and print, then snapshot bottom half of label and print
makes it nice and big and enables me to print customs slips on a label printer!

Even though you have solved it, it sounds like a lot of extra work. I used to use a QL-700, and now a QL-800 - my settings are as follows:
Print Dialog:
Brother Properties:

i was referring to the customs form which is large is that what you are referring to?
