blows my mind that identical listings for masks were removed by ebay while others are allowed to continue and even relist.. any given day you can search ebay ''US'' for'' N95 masks'' and find over 2,000 listings. 95% of those are price gouging and yet they are allowed to continue selling while others were/are kicked off. (Ebay dosent mind collecting the associated seller fees on these items either. ) I realize there are folks whoe have the funds and wish to purchase these masks and sanitizers for the safety of their own families. So its good that ebay allows ''some sellers'' to still provide those to the public at whatever price.
Has any ebay sellers whos listings were deleted/banned tried other avenues of selling their n95 or sanitizer products to the public ?

well, you gave the clue yourself, when you said it was out of town. Because it's very location dependent. some places have shortages and hoarding. othrs don't. but i think a lot of retailers have instituted limits on how many one person can buy.

N95 is also a mask for industrial use, dust, etc. So, in that category, industrial, it may be necessary for people to be able to buy them. but since they are down to just a couple hundred, well, they are actually getting most of the listings off. The point ebay made was, COVID RELATED items. So if people are selling MEDICAL supply, and tilting thier keywords all towards that, it's going to count more no doubt.

To the best of my knowledge, there are "NO" "authorized" sellers of 3M masks. Advanced search allows you to look at items by authorized sellers. Using that option will display zero masks, suggesting that none are from authorized sellers. Members saying that Ebay has approved some sellers would seem to be a false statement. Much like I have said in other discussions....NOT ALL "MASKS" ARE BANNED!!!!

eBay sellers agree to the site's terms of use when they decide to become a seller. eBay's site, eBay's rules...obey the rules or be held accountable for your actions. There will be little sympathy for such attitudes and if eBay suspends accounts of those who defy and/or try to circumvent the rules & policies, that is all well and good.

eBay's site, eBay's rules, eBay's policies of which you agree to as a seller.
eBay does not have to justify their actions or their decision's. eBay has designated who may sell those products and anyone trying to list will be blocked from doing so and/or listings removed.
Those sellers who were selling these products prior to the pandemic were allowed to continue to do so, whilst all those who jumped on the bandwagon and started price gouging and profiteering, ruined things for all sellers who quickly followed but wanted to list at more reasonable prices. Thusly eBay made a decision and that decision stands.
eBay has stated:
"we are proactively selecting a limited number of sellers to provide certain types of inventory and there is not currently an application process for becoming approved to sell these items."
Sellers may feel this is unfair measures but so be it, eBay has made their decision and like it or not, sellers have to abide by that decision.
It's time for sellers to move on and focus on their own businesses, listing & selling those items that have made them successful over the years.

would anyone be willing to partake in a class action lawsuit against eBay? I for one have had enough of their bull**bleep** and playing favorites. I directly pointed out some of these listings that have continued to sell. Report them daily in fact, just to test how accurate ebay claims are. They are still up and selling hundreds by the day.
It seems eBay no longer cares about the smaller sellers of their community and only support larger players. The policy is a complete joke, as it is not being enforced across the board. I have even linked several listings directly to eBay support reps in reply, and still nothing. All are still active.

I know what your saying, I tried selling on ebay and they kicked me off because I was not on the approved list. I have been selling & buying for nearly 20 years. I listing 50 KN95 mask for $150 + $14.95 shipping USPS mail. $200 is price gouging! Let me know if you interested and want more details. All items are in the USA. Thanks.

"The small handful of authorized sellers are sellers with whom we have had previous working relationships with on various e-commerce related projects that we have direct contractual agreements with. They are strictly bound by MSRP for any of these types of listings. There isn't a way to apply for authorization to sell items of this nature, but rest assured that these are only temporary restrictions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be lifted as soon as we are able to do so."Ebay is giving special preference to a handful of sellers to make a killing on selling masks
Absolutely **bleep** that they're doing this.
They have "contractual obligations" with people selling a box of 20 masks for $300. Not price gouging at all. Or people selling 2 KN95 masks for $30!
I had a listing up at what I paid +10% for a box of R95's. Blocked almost instantly.

and did you have all this inventory PRIOR to covid-19??? ...or were you one of those that purchased and stockpiled everything in sight to re-sell for a huge profit???

I make hand made face coverings, at low price yet my listings where taken down for this very reason, tbh we all have to wear them wherever we go really, so I don’t see the problem with offering a reusable washable alternative to people disregarding disposable ones everywhere thus spreading the virus and destroying the environment in the process. I personally think £4.99 was a fair price. But anyway people are taking the **bleep** right out of it. Tbh it’s beyond me eBay listing regulations one rule for one another rule for another... makes no sense... my listening was clearly stated non medical, anyone else had this problem?
