holding items in unsold folder until I can move them

This is a bit different, and I did try to search for other trheads. I have two premium stores and have out grown them as-far-as the 1000 listings cap. I have decided to close one and move everything to my other store. The one I want to close is billed on the 15th. The one I am upgrading to an Anchor store is billed on the first. What I want to do is close the one billed on the 15th and put everything in an unsold folder. Then transfer the items to the over store once I upgrade it to an Anchor store.on the first. Don't want to do it sooner as I have to pay the month in advance and don't want to have a prorated fee on top of that.

My question in a nut shell is. Will the items in the unsold tab still count against what I have listed? I will be knocking the one store down to just a selling account with no store. Don't want to have to pay 25 or more cents a piece for items in the unsold area. I would need them to be there for about 2-3 weeks

Hmm, not sure I understand the question.  Insertion fees count when the listing goes live.  So if you end the listings in the store that you're closing, they will not incur any additional fees. They'll remain available in your unsold section for  60 days (or maybe 90).   If you list them in the other account (when you upgrade the store), each one will use up one of the free insertions for that account.

If you open the anchor store subscription when there are just a couple of days left in the month, you pay only the prorated upgrade cost for 1 or 2 days of the subscription, BUT you get the full month of free insertions.  So it could be cost-effective to sign up for the store then.

Re: holding items in unsold folder until I can move them

Thank you. I tried to be clear as I could be. Still you were able to answer me and tell me what I needed to know as far as fees and item counts. I have a way to move them it will just take a couple weeks worth of time to do that. Closing them at the same time would cost me another 150 it is almost 10.00 a day prorated fee

I see. I didn't realize that transferring the listings would be so time-consuming.  Good luck!
