hate the new changes on listing, can you go back to old format or are you stuck

i dont like change.  i do know how stupid this is but i am disabled and my brain does not adapt well. i don't like the change in format for creating a listing.  is there an option to go back to old style or are we stuck with the new format?

i list a 5 day handling. i almost never take that long but i would rather give me more time in case i am ill and want customers to know that up front.  I went to make a new list and it doesn't give me anthing more then 3 days handling time. ... its just one thing on a half dozen changes i don't appreicate. always trying to fix things that aren't broken.   thanks for letting me know if it is..... are they planning on doing a survey to see if we like the changes they have made?

@msthings14 The new listing forms are the only option. That said, it sounds like you might be in the quick listing tool which is very limited. If you switch to the advanced listing tool you will have more options.

You can switch to the advanced tool by clicking on 'save and exit’ at the bottom of the quick listing tool and then you will see 'advanced form' on the top right of the new page.

From the advanced tool you can adjust duration, best offer, and plenty of other options not available with the new quick tool.

You can call ebay and ask them to change you back to the old listing tool. I had to do it again today. Your not stuck using it... Yet

The new listing form actually works, especially for product fields, the old one did not even work for most of the product details, it is much faster, everything can be done from one page and it saves eBay server load.

Re: hate the new changes on listing, can you go back to old format or are you stuck

I tried to use it to create a new listing for the first time and the thing won't let me collect the sales tax that I'm required to collect.  It keeps just putting something on the shipping & payments tab about me charging sales tax in multiple states.  The help page gives a procedure, but the it appears that their instructions do not match the new advanced listing tool as the link needed isn't present.

With the thing telling everyone that I collect sales tax in multiple states regardless of my settings on the tax table and there seeming to be no way to correct it, I'm beginning to see how some sellers appear to be charging sales tax in every state.  What a screwed up site this is.  Every time they make a so called improvement things go to h__.

Anyone know how to find the "Add More Options" button on the new listing tool?

I took a glance at the quick version and it's even worse.  All that time I had quit listing and eBay kept sending messages to return, so I do and they can't even get their so called improvements to work.   Geez, Louise!

@copper.boom, if you click on the advanced listing tool - the one that offers more options - can you switch back to the quick listing tool?

One of the reasons I haven't clicked to use the advanced tool is in the event I don't like it, I would not want to learn I have opted in and now I'm stuck.

Thanks.

Oh I forgot to ask ... if a seller uses a Template ... which tool are they using?? I always use a Template and just delete the old photos and add new, and enter a description and new price, etc.

Thanks.

I've looked at both without a problem switching.  Of course, I've had a problem since the first time I used either one of them.

@rainbowcolorz Yes you can switch back to quick if you don't like the advanced tool.

If you are able to choose a duration time for a fixed price listing (ie: 5 / 7 / 10 / 30 days / GTC) then you are NOT using the quick form. The quick form does not allow you to choose duration of a fixed price listing and it defaults to GTC.

Re: hate the new changes on listing, can you go back to old format or are you stuck

thanks folks for  your help.    been on the phone with ebay and here is what i have learned.

" market research has shown that this is a better template"  so we are all stuck  with it.  people i spoke to at ebay were very very kind and helpful but this is new for them too so they had to go around finding folks who could answer my odd questions.  It wasn't that I was using quick listing tool but just couldn't figure out that it was under " unsold" on the side tab.   I also couldn't figure out where my Numbers of how many listings I had left in my" free bees" because that is no longer easy and quick on my selling sheet. I had to make 3 seperate changes to get to that.

I also asked about the new prompt when you sign in to have you conect yourself up to other devices etc. I don't want to sign up for that, wanted to make sure that i will not be locked out since there isn't a decline button only a do it latter button.

I also asked about the new face book log in option which is going to go global as well as the new format.  I asked what kind of data collecting are we opening ourselves up to if any just my them linking with facebook.  I know people who are doing this for a business and want lots of exposure don't mind the risks but I am not one of those. If facebook gets hacked then they have your ebay and I would assume your paypal info as well.

anyway not happy camper with any of this
