Did you mean:

harrassing ebayer

I have an item for sale.  It is new, in original wrap, and never used.  It is an original book and no others with the same complete content.  I have a person who has emailed at least 4 times telling me there is one on Amazon for a much smaller selling price.  That Amazon item is used and not perfect condition.  The first time, I emailed a thanks.  I don't see a need to explain what should be a no brainer.  He continues to email the same message over and over.  This is harassment.  Meanwhile, I have blocked this person.  Is there anything that can be done?

@judyt613613You can either ignore him, or reply:

Unfortunately, we cannot match that price. How fortunate you are to have found the item you want for such a low price!

It is irritating when people are rudely persistent. If you choose to respond, and they keep messaging, then I would ignore them. Blocking them prevents them from purchasing from you, but they can still message. Maybe they have issues or just a jerk. Either way, I first answer politely, then I ignore. Best of Luck!

It's harassment only if you let it be.  Just delete the emails and forget the jerk.

Re: harrassing ebayer

You've already added the buyer to your blocked bidder list but since they contacted you, they are still able to do it. Just ignore.

And if you want to, reply to tell them to buy from Amazon from the seller with the lower price!

Re: harrassing ebayer

Forget about them - that's a well worn haggling 'technique' - not a very good one but, oh well, some people aren't very good at it.  Don't reply, even to tell them to go away.

Re: harrassing ebayer

i don't post often, but your  post caught my attention....

answer: raise your price

this might prompt even more emails from him/her

you have no obligation to reply other than "interest is high" for this item L

or

Thanks for pointing that out...It appears I underpriced this based on its condition.....

Re: harrassing ebayer

If they are continuing to contact and harass you,  you can report them as others have posted.  You can also turn off their messages in your ebay message box:

The best response is no response. Good luck.

There is no way to keep a buyer from messaging you even if you BBL them.

ebay wants it that way.

Re: harrassing ebayer

Since you know the harasser's ID, you can delete the Messages without reading.

You may also have received emails and now know his email address.

Delete those without reading.

DELETE DELETE DELETE.

And raise your price.  If someone other than this creep wants to haggle, he can use Best Offer. If you add Best Offer to your listing, you can also set parameters for automated polite rejection or prompt acceptance.

Unfortunately that won't work as OP chose to answer their email.  I think there's a window of about 30 days (?).

Yes, people can get around it but most probably won't bother.

Re: harrassing ebayer

Report them for harassment and never open their messages again because they will continue trying to bait you into responding so they can argue with you.

Re: harrassing ebayer

You have already blocked the person, is there anything else that can be done?

Yes, you could unblock the  person.

If you've already blocked the person, what more do you want to do?
