can i switch back to paypal as my way of receiving my money? I feel like ebay tricked me into switching and offered NO INCENTIVE to doing it. If my fees are the same, what is my incentive... watch out ebay, pigs get fat, hogs get SLAUGHTERED

No going back as eBay Managed Payments is here to stay (for now)
If you want to sell on eBay you will have to stay in Managed Payments
There are incentives such as all transactions are in 1 location now (eBay)
Customers have more options to pay so that can help with sales

You cannot go back to PayPal.
eBay is eliminating PayPal as an option.

Predictions of eBay's demise have been made regularly here for 20 years now.

Once you're in MP, you can't go back.

No, Pay Pal will no longer be an option for sellers.
It's MP or you'll have to find another place to sell.

They didn't trick you; they gave you an ultimatum (a nicely worded one). Once you're "invited", you have a choice of signing up or shutting down.

Your incentive is the ability to earn an income within their platform and by their rules and conditions.
Chose to sell here with Managed Payments or find a different path. Whatever you choose, the best moving forward,

A bit graphic comment. Take a walk and a breath.

They TRICKED you No they just made you an offer you cannot refuse if you want to sell on ebay you must use MP. Switched to MP many months ago no problems no drop in sales no real negatives in fact it may have helpled sales by giving buyers different payment options. OK maybe I am missing something I just do not see any real negative with MP. For my products I still have the best platform to sell and I still get paid.

I've been holding out since last November.
My reason is that I can only attach one bank account and it must be in my own currency.
I'm Canadian and more than half my sales are in US dollars. But I am not allowed to attach my American bank account which is in USD in addition to my Canadian account in loonies.
I am also amazed that eBay accepted a payment processing system that does not allow the seller to buy with the money in the account. But that's a minor detail and I could if I were buying here, which I rarely do, use my credit card.

I also am happy with Managed Payments. Everything has its downside. I try and adapt to change.

I get what you’re saying. It was sold to us as something great, and it’s really not. They said “more streamlined”, but what could possibly be more streamlined than instant payments? They said “put money directly in your pocket”, but after reading further, my pocket must be 4-7 days away. Fees are basically the same so there’s no advantage there. It is what it is. We must adapt or move on.

That was the nice thing about PP - you sell, you buy using the $ in you PP account. Great for a hobby seller - you find something that you can upgrade for your own collection, and sell your old one to pay for it(or most of it).
Now, I usually pay with a CC, but I use one where I get cash back. But it wasn't as painful paying with your PP balance.
Never had an ebay store - never will - but if I did, I sure wouldn't anymore since you can't even pay your store fees with a cash back CC. So now sellers pay the CC fees from their customers, but ebay pays none from their customers, because they don't take credit cards for their fees anymore(which I believe was a factor in deciding on how to set up MP as that adds up).
So ebay forces us to take CC payments and live with the consequences, but of course, THEY don't want to take CC payments and live with the consequences. And of course, that was never brought up when pitching how great MP is.
