feedback

I spend a lot of time working on my ebay site but do not have a lot of sales.  I would appreciate any feedback on how I could do better.  I seem to attract a lot of spammers though who purchase an item but do not pay for it so I end up cancelling it on the date recommended.   I would like to attract legitimate buyers as well.  Thank you.

Re: feedback

Your hemp cord, you can't sell it here.

Can't sell anything containing hemp.

Have a great day.

Re: feedback

Get rid of best offer and require immediate payment.

The few listings I looked at only had 1 or 2 photos. Add as many photos as you can.

They didn't have much of a description either. You want to add as much information as you can about the item.

Have a great day.

Re: feedback

Work on getting your titles clean, accurate and that contain keywords pertaining to your item

Work on taking better pictures with a background that is clean

Work on your descriptions of your items especially cloths.  Take measurements with a cloth tape measure and include so buyers can confidently know what they are getting.

Obviously price is important as well and knowing what sold previously helps with that.

Good luck with your Ebay journey.

Re: feedback

Buy some stuff, pay fast and get feedback. Few people want to risk buying from a seller with such a low feedback number.  (They have enough troubles with high feedback sellers, lol)

Offer free shipping, work that cost into your price.

Ditch the no returns accepted. It's just going to get you in trouble.

Work on your titles. You get a lot more characters than you're using.

Off topic, but you're selling such low priced items you can't be making much even with more sales. Look for higher value items to sell. It takes about the same amount of time to list and ship a $10 item as it does a $30 item.

Re: feedback

My advice would be to get rid of the pinkish color background.  Doesn't show off your items very well.

Measurements.  I looked at a few of your necklaces, and I don't even know the length of the chain.  That info is important to buyers.

Better photos, and more of them.

Both the jewelry and clothing categories are really saturated, and therefore tough to move.  For that reason you have to really stand out and provide the best titles, photos, and descriptions possible to compete.
Looks like you are listing items you currently have on hand.  And that is fine, nothing wrong with that at all.  As you are able, try going out to source for more inventory....in categories that you are not up against tens of thousands of other sellers.  Easier said than done, I know.  Wishing you the best of luck.

Re: feedback

Thank you for letting me know that.  I used to macrame so have no use for it now.  Have a great weekend.

Re: feedback

Thank you.  I do a little sewing but these are not ones that I can use anymore.  I do mainly quilting, potholders that kind of thing.  Thanks for the advice.  Have a nice weekend.

Re: feedback

Thank you for the feedback.  I was thinking of putting my patterns and fabric on etsy and concentrating here on flea market items.  I have a knack for finding very strange items.  Like the Civil War ammunition metal holder that someone made into a purse.  I used to do flea markets when my children were small and I'm 66 now so figure I can do it again.  Do you think I should take the craft items off of Ebay to clean it up a little?

Re: feedback

Thank you so much for the feedback.  I will take your ideas and run with them.  I am a little frustrated at this point but I am going to do my best.  I am going to work on my site today to clean it up and make it pop a little.  I was thinking of taking the craft items off and put them on Etsy.  Then I can offer other things on Ebay.  I used to make a bit on flea markets.  I had a knack finding some really different stuff.  It was a lot of fun:  It is still a lot of fun.  Have a great weekend and thanks again.

Re: feedback

Invest in a light box.  You can get a 12" by 12" for probably around $20 maybe $30.

I think that will make an enormous difference for you.

Re: feedback

All jewelry needs length in the title.

All clothes need brand name in the title and measurements in the description - at a minimum the width at the chest and the length

Plus size clothes sell. But you need to put Womens Plus Size in the title.

Re: feedback

It would be against eBay policy for me to advise that.

But we've tried selling our items (books and toys) on several other platforms and the only place we've stuck with is eBay.
