feedback

A buyer has requested that I do NOT leave feedback for him.  However the feedback forum does not allow me to delete his feedback request listing. I can only choose "leave feedback later".  Isn't there a way to delete his listing in the feedback forum.

Re: feedback

just don't do anything....why MUST it be deleted....and you can leave feedback if YOU want...seems strange to have a seller say , don't leave any...ummm was there an issue?... and show them who the boss...leave them a positive one, there that will teach them to say don't!

Re: feedback

No, I do understand why they want NO feedback. They want their items purchased to remain confidential. My problem is that every time I go into my feedback forum to leave other feedback I am afraid that sometime in my haste, I may forget and leave them feedback. I think there should be another option which is to delete the feedback request.

Re: feedback

Can you "hide" the listing?

Not sure if that is available in that setting but it is in Purchase History.

Re: feedback

I belive your buyer just simply wants to remain private. Sometimes as a buyer myself I do not want the rest of the world knowing what I buy because my intent is to resell and belive me you there are some quick buyers out there that can and will call you out on something you buy as a seller and resell. Silly as it sounds it can happen. I would do as he/she requested and just ignor the feedback request or reminder from eBay. After 60 days it will fall off anyway. I have a private buying account for that very reason. You are never obligated to leave a feedback, ever.

Re: feedback

Been a member since late '90s and between the fees for ebay and paypal along with the inability to leave nasty feedback for deadbeat bidders... I must say farewell.

Fortunately, I do not have many customers who ask me to not leave feedback for them.  I am certain that no one has requested that in the last 3000 sales I have made.  I can see where it would be a little trouble to not accidentally leave feedback for someone who  asked me to not leave feedback.

This is the logical way to decide whether to leave feedback for every customer, or to not leave feedback unless the customer leaves feedback.  If more buyers are dissatisfied by receiving feedback than are dissatisfied by not receiving feedback, then a seller would surely want to NOT leave feedback unless the customer left feedback first, indicating that it would be all right for the seller to leave feedback.

Re: feedback

Thanks for your response. I did find that by leaving the feedback untouched it eventually disappeared.
