Got a positive FB from buyer "Nice gift but broken". I was confused because it was SS bowls with plastic covers, NIB, shipped in a shipping box. Then I looked at their FB left for others, the last dozen or so purchases, exact same FB.
Should I post a response or not? I am not a big seller so I don't get a lot of FB.
Posted this in a "group", thought it was a discussion board. So re-posting here.

Personally I'd probably just take the positive and move on. Leaving a reply draws attention to it for those that are browsing your feedback. Most buyers won't even look this far though, especially since the first thing they see is 1) substantial # of feedback (2793 at the time of this message) and 2) 100% Positive feedback rating. Personally, as a buyer, I'm not likely to look beyond that and actually read the messages left buy buyers.
Aside from that, I *think* you could get feedback removed because it is supposedly against eBay policy to leave negative feedback in a Positive comment.

I too would just ignore it. No point in drawing unnecessary attention to it. If it is something you don't want to see I would try to appeal to have it removed. You can do that from the help and contact page.

It's only against policy if a seller leaves a positive rating with neg comments for a buyer.

yeah, just went there, no way to report a positive FB comment that I can see.

Sounds like they just copied and pasted feedback from item that was actually broken...ignore

^This. It's considered passive aggressive negative feedback since sellers obviously cannot leave negs.

Yup. It only works the other way around. Apparently buyer vs seller ebay policies isn't a two way street. GASP!

OP, you seem to get a good enough flow of positive feedbacks that I wouldn't even reply to draw attention to the comment. It would be a different story if you only get like 1 feedback a year. With your feedback rate, this one should drop down in the page quick enough that even people who look at comments won't pay attention to it. But if you do reply to it, it will stick out like a sore thumb up until the feedback gets pushed into page 2.

Ever see those 1 star reviews on Amazon where the user says "Great item. So happy". Just be happy yours wasn't like that.
Be grateful you got a positive with a weird comment rather than a negative with a positive comment.

It's staggering how many buyers just copy/paste their feedbacks over and over and over. You'd think they should at least have a super generic comment like "great seller" versus something like "The underwear you sent me has a weird smell. But good quality nonetheless."

OMG gross

I would send the buyer a revise request asking why they said the item is broken.
Nothing will probably come of it but maybe they made a mistake.
