ebay turned a private coupon public

Had a private coupon switch to public last night and a few buyers too advantage of the great discount.  Glad I caught this before it got real bad.  I guess I can't leave any active private coupons anymore.  Anyone else?

Never had that experience.   (I tend to not use coupons... is anything really "private" in the virtual world?)

All I know is that according to article 15 of the eBay user agreement, eBay cannot be held responsible for "glitches":
